Fun to see Wikstrand-Nilsson as 1st D paring for Mora.

I don't know if you guys know this, but Anže Kopitar said that want's to play with his brother in Mora IK (because of the lockout). Source.

Thanks, but that Kopitar wants to play with his brother have been reported in swedish media weeks ago, but I wonder about the financial aspect of it, the insurance for an NHL player has gotta sting for a SEL-2 club.

According to Mora Club director it's around 200k a month.

That shouldn't be a problem, let the floodgates open, HA will be fun as hell while the SEL will stink.

Let's say Kopitar plays 3 months, no salary and 600k SEK in insurances. He alone increases the ticket sales everywhere with at least 300-500 per game, some places probably more. Add merchandise sales. Huge win.

Hockeyfrilla 09-19-2012 03:27 AM

Kopitar confirmed by Mora

Anyone who watches SSK a bit more closely that can tell how Robin Press looks so far? How does he look defensively? Skating?

First of all I was kinda surprised he was given a spot on the men's team. Almtuna was sorta planning it I believe, but I don't think it would've been a guarantee. Now he's taking a regular shift(as a D) it seems, even playing powerplay. On a better team. Surprising because when he came up with Almtuna last year he was playing forward on the 4th line. And it looks like he's really grown a lot, listed as 6'2½ and 202lbs now. I find him intriguing.

Djurgården is working on Douglas Murray and Patric Hörnqivst.

Interesting, Murray is with the PA in the negotiations and I read that Hörnqvist wasn't interested in playing in Allsvenskan.

Hockeyfrilla 09-20-2012 09:35 AM

They might add Landeskog aswell.

On defense he wasnt very good against Oskarshamn, look shaky at times, didnt make the plays in SSK own end well enough. Looks a bit better on the PP. Like many young defenders these days, offense look better than defense right now, at least in that particular game. SSK will have Sonntag back soon and have just gotten another D from the AHL as well. Chances are that Press will lose some playing time.

Rutkowski 09-20-2012 04:53 PM

Watched Almtuna lose to Leksand today and got a puck in the head from Filip Forsberg for it.

Seriously, he shot a puck that bounced into my head. That's what I get for buying ice-level tickets.

joe89 09-21-2012 11:38 AM

Berglund will play tonight.

Hockeyfrilla 09-21-2012 01:22 PM

This guy Emil Djuse is pretty good..Robin Press only playing in PP.

Didnt accomplish much. Preseason still for him.

Hockeyfrilla 09-22-2012 08:04 AM

Pontus Åberg has been a letdown so far, only 1A in 3 games playing on 1st line. Listed on 4th line today.

joe89 09-22-2012 09:04 AM

If SSK-VIK was just another game, that's far from the case with MIK-DIF. Full house and loud.

joe89 09-22-2012 11:32 AM

Good game for the youngsters.
Vikstrand 2+0, Wennberg 1+0, Gustafsson 1+0, Åberg 0+1, Sörensen 0+1.
