Hardt?

Nichlas Hardt does not seem to have played for Jokerit so far this season. I suspect he must be injured, but I haven't heard anything about a possible injury. Anyone here who can provide some details?

Finnpin 09-19-2012 01:27 AM

Hardt got knee injury in pre-season.

End of August report said he is out for 10 weeks.

Tough loss for Jokerit.

andersej 09-19-2012 09:37 AM

Thanks for the info. Tough loss indeed.

As long as he is back at 100 % in time for the Olympic qualifiers in February.

Boring times for a hockey player but you gotta do what you gotta do:

Hardt is back! Scoring his first goal in his second game of the year - equalizing to 2-2 late third period against HPK. So apparently he is not too rusty after his injury.

He's clearly not 100% yet, which is understandable of course. The goal was a bit of a fluke as the d-man shot a wrister from the blueline which first hit the opponent and then apparently Hardt in front of the net. He was just screening the goalie and I think it just happened to hit him. That kind of dirty work he does is actually very important for Jokerit since their offense is full of skilled guys looking for pretty plays.

But then again a great part of his goal are made that way fighting in front of the box - he is rarely scoring on "pretty plays" neither on the Danish NT. So it's good to see he feels ready to go into the "beating" ZONE.

^^ True.

Glad to see him back in action and Hardt was really missed... now the team has a wing who drives to the net very often.

Jokerit Wasp 11-15-2012 03:57 PM

and V.Filppula missing too for Jokerit

Finnpin 11-16-2012 12:28 AM

All these injuries :help: please stop :shakehead

Luckily Jokerit's A-juniors game system is same like mens so the youngsters can fill the open spots...plus Semir Ben-Amor is back.

That's good news...could have been worse.

Ozzy the Captain also out for 2 weeks.

So it seems that slowly Hardt is back in the point production.
Scored to 2-2 in the 3-2 win over TPS.

3G 1A in 14 matches is not impressive, but hopefully he will get in shape for the olympic qualification and the playoffs for Jokerit.

Finnpin 01-14-2013 02:56 AM

He is definately looking his game after injuries but the coaching staff believes in him as they give him ice time in top-6 even though his performances haven't been top-6 worthy. Imo he'll come back. Just needs time.

Justinov 03-14-2013 01:14 PM

It seems Nichlas Hardt is finally back in business with 3 goals in the last 3 games for Jokerit. So hopefully he is getting playoff ready now!

Right in time :handclap: and hopefully he keeps it going in playoffs plus his grit is needed there.

Nichlas Hardt still seems to be struggling with lack of point production after his injuries last season. Only 0G 3A in 8 matches.
So how does he look. Close to turn it back on?

He has been better lately. Played five first games in the second line and lately he was promoted to the first line. Lacks point production but he has been great physically.

Good to hear! :) So I guess it's just a matter of time before the points start rolling again. At least as you say he can always contribute with his intensity!

Not unless Jokerit suddenly finds some offensively talented centers and changes their offensive system as to what happens in the neutral and offensive zone. The current system won't produce more than 1-3 goals per game.

Janne Lahti said that they started to practise the game system with defense first and still haven't practised offense that much and you can see that's the case when looking the games.

Teams that start training offense after the season has begun rarely succeed.
