Bergenheim Signs With HIFK (FEL)
Bergenheim just signed with my team Helsinki IFK (HIFK). The contract is game based believed to be 8 games for starters.
How sweet my job has season tickets to HIFK games! :handclap: |
Instead of making a thread i'd thought i'd post it here -
Santorelli will most likely be playing with his brother in the Swedish Allsvenskan. Looking forward to seeing him if the deal goes through. |
Injured knee, out 4-5 months, book it.
What team is Santo going to? |

Could have happened here also...but points out the stupidity of the lockout! Pox on both houses: NHL and NHLPA

Damn, Bergie is my favorite Panther at this point. At least he's got at least a year to recover.

Seriously though, Bergs has averaged 68 games per season in his 5 years in the nhl. He always gets injured at some point. |

Also, that league has a team named "Weasel" ??? |

Is there any conclusive information about the length of Bergenheims injury?
|
from what i've read, i assume if bergie is still injured when play starts we have the option of honoring his contract, or not. i read that any player who plays overseas and comes back injured and unable to play when the nhl resumes will give his team the option of negating his contract. is this true?

So, what's his actual injury and length??

I think this is the main reason Crosby won't be playing overseas... could you imagine what his insurance would cost and the sh*tstorm he would bring if he got injured over there? |
I talked to Bergy, he'll have surgery within a few days.
He'll be out 3-6 months :shakehead |

this freaking guy can't catch a break. injury prone. if this is true and we have a season and bergie is unable to play again i would seriously look at not honoring his contract due to the injury as was reported as a team option if true for players who got injured during the lockout and are unable to play and fulfill there contract once play begins. this would free up cap space and give us the possiblity of signing a decent player.

yeah, he's a great player who has played minimal games for us and is constantly injured. i believe he's got 1 year left on his contract and if that's true and the injury is serious he probably wont play much for us this year either. maybe time to cut our losses. it may be an option. gm's must consider all options.
