Title: (Former Maple Leafs and Carolina coach) Paul Maurice embraces the differences of coaching in Russia "“The hockey’s different,” Maurice added. “How they view it is different. The travel’s different. How everything moves is different. It’s so difficult to describe.... And I guess you get to the point where you realize, just because it’s different doesn’t mean it’s wrong.... Maurice is coaching Metallurg Magnitogorsk, a perennial KHL powerhouse... Magnitogorsk received three valuable reinforcements: Evgeni Malkin, the NHL’s reigning MVP; Sergei Gonchar, the Ottawa Senators’ defenceman; and Nikolai Kulemin, the Toronto Maple Leafs’ forward." |
Thank you , finally a positive arrival about the KHL.
It's true, sometimes different can be good. |

Interesting. I hope him in Rowe don't influence the Russian style too much. I mean he says he tries to get the guys to work hard all of the time like the NHL guys which is great, but I hope he doesn't influence them to dump and chase or take less risks... That is what makes KHL hockey fun to watch. At least he seems to get it. I like the part where he says the guys like to pass it through 10 guys because they think its awesome :yo: hell yeah thats why we watch KHL
