Fox Sports Ohio's Lockout Plans

Has any one heard if FSOH will broadcast AHL games in the absence of Jackets hockey?.....or will they do some thing less exciting?

They'll be running a circuit of cooking and home improvement shows; mostly containing overage doses of Guy Fieri and Ty Pennington, to ensure that everyone gets the closest possible fix to Jeff Rimer.

When those shows aren't on, you'll be able to catch old re-runs of "Who's the Boss?"

:sarcasm:

I think the excitement level depends entirely on how exciting you find baseball and basketball to me.

or, IMO, they're going with the "less exciting" option :) :(

I think I heard they're going to just show a test pattern page that says "Bethpage, NY"

....that's for the veterans here........from way downtown...........:)

If they aren't showing hockey after baseball is completed, I'm not watching FSO so, from my perspective, I don't really care. Much like I won't be watching that NBC Sports station (old Versus).

If they show the AHL, I might watch if Springfield is playing (or if someone else airs it).

But the Cavs (or are they on another station now)? Buwahaha, hell no.

If the Reds post season games aren't already locked up by other networks, that would be a great place to start with replacement programming.

They are, all games are on Fox and TBS. But, FSO is running a post game show after every Reds Playoff game.

Jackets game will be replaced with Caves (puke) games and poker.

Didn't they go back and pick the 10 best games of previous seasons and air those during the last lockout? Maybe I'm thinking of something else but I could swear they went to year one and aired a game a week. Of course with this outfit, they'd have to look long and hard to find games worth showing!!

1. Game against Chicago when we clinched a playoff berth
2. OT win in Nashville last year
3. Blow out game against the Blues two years ago

The game in Detroit where we blew them out and Matt the Mask got tossed.

Mason standing on his head stopping something like 46-of-47 against San Jose and Umby getting an OT game-winner in December 2008. (Notable to me because that was the first time I really went to a game.)

Two games against Calgary stand out ... the franchise's first win was in Calgary, and of course the 5-0 drubbing that saw Steve Mason receive death threats en route to our first playoff berth.

CBJBrassard16 10-07-2012 08:37 PM

Game @ Washington where Torres tied the game with like 12 seconds left and then Umberger won it in OT.

Also the game vs Detroit where we won 8-2.

Also the San Jose game with LaCosta in net

The Goal.

During the game in February of 2009, a deranged fan called someone saying they were going to kill Steve Mason either during or after the game. It was hush-hush until things were taken care of, but they ramped up security and ended up tracking the guy down and catching him later that night at his home.

If I remember right, he was wearing a Flames T-shirt. I'm not kidding.

I'm disappointed I wasn't able to watch that game. And I thought it was a bomb threat? Maybe that was something else..?
