HF Top-50 Prospects

The first installment of the Hockey's Future Top-50 Prospects list is up on the HF site: http://www.hockeysfuture.com/article...-the-rankings/

Check it out (though there are no Panthers; at least not yet).

Markstrom and Hubs are both in the top 20 again....GO CATS GO.

Just in case people missed it also, Bjugstad was 39...was 33 in the spring rankings so a slight drop but I dont think due to performance that much (keep in mind all the players just drafted).

That is very true. In fact there are going to be more than 6 2012 draftees that were drafted ahead of Bjugstad's position to make the list (Yakupov, Gally, Grigs, Dumba, Murray, Reilly, Reinhart, Forsberg just thinking off the top of my head), so once you include those, only falling 6 spots is actually a relative success.

Yeah, don't read too much into small drops in the Fall version of the list because of new additions. Same for the spring, when some players will graduate off the list, so small bumps up are to be expected as well.

As someone who took part in the committee to make the Top 50, I can say that Bjugstad was never talked about as a player whose value has diminished. He's a top prospect, and his stock will likely rise over the coming months.
