me so excited.

Fayne Gretzky 10-11-2012 11:27 PM

This team is just going to melt the AHL. Can't wait!

oilfan09 10-11-2012 11:28 PM

hope there is a stream!

I thought I heard that Sportsnet was showing this game.

Am I wrong?

*edit
Apparently I was wrong, they start broadcasting AHL games on Oct. 13.
They are televising the Oil Kings game on friday.

Jimmi Jenkins 10-11-2012 11:33 PM

That PP is going to crush teams. I can see Schultz ending up with a few PP Goals with the Nuge feeding him sick dishes.

Bryanbryoil 10-12-2012 12:04 AM

Looks like we are in for a rough season, our leading point getter, assist man, and goalscorers aren't even on the team anymore :sarcasm:

syz 10-12-2012 12:16 AM

Lots of teams got better because of the lockout.

Lake Eerie wasn't one of them.

BoldNewLettuce 10-12-2012 12:24 AM

what is the fifth line?

scid14 10-12-2012 12:36 AM

Really excited to watch this tomorrow. Is Danis the confirmed starter? Glad we have a GDT for the Barons as well, might as well make do with what we have.

Diamondillium 10-12-2012 12:50 AM

6-2 Barons. Multi-point night for both the stars.

On this team, in this league, we have like 14 stars.

3-1 Loss for the Barons.

I don't think Danis will have a great game. Dang.

The Bored Man 10-12-2012 12:53 AM

Feels weird to expect my team to win.

OilChuck 10-12-2012 12:56 AM

Paajarvi and Marincin will have great opportunities to start the year. Can't wait!!!

Moonlapse Vertigo 10-12-2012 12:57 AM

Despite their record last year the Barons didn't have a very good powerplay. That should change in very short order.

OilerTyler 10-12-2012 01:06 AM

Lake Erie

Unless you are implying they are a frighteningly bad team ;)

ohheyhemsky 10-12-2012 01:24 AM

I'm ****ing pumped to see Schultz and Marincin.

Fine the, if you're gonna be that way. :P

Hitchslap 10-12-2012 01:35 AM

Contemplating spending the money on that AHL package. I would be pissed if the lockout ended in the next couple months though.

Kayen 10-12-2012 01:42 AM

Pumped to see the whole team.

Particularly Martindale. See if the "on paper" will translate to "on ice"

Haha, I was saying it in an excited manner.

We have a stacked team.

Wait to see if there are streams for this game first. If there are, then we'll likely be getting them all year.

Here's the Erie lineup, I have no idea that would play out in terms of lines. Here's a guess from the Av's board:

DVG - Sgarbossa - Olver
Connolly - Hishon - Walker (1)
Lerg - Heard - Thomas
Bourdeleau - Malone - Walker (2)

Pock - Elliott
Barrie - Gaunce
Chouinard - Sullivan

Aittokallio
Pickard

I'm strangely excited to see what this fourth line can do... Byers, VV, and even Hamilton are proof how deep this squad is up front, there's some potential for this line to be a nightmare for other teams.

Philly85 10-12-2012 01:51 AM

Excited most about Martindale and Schultz as well, time to start off with a bang.

402 10-12-2012 01:59 AM

I'm Most excited to see nuge ebs and shultz those three would of been on the oilers if there was no lockout
Particularely nuge and ebs that duo was dominant in the nhl they should be pretty fun to watch in the ahl
Prv will have a great oppertunity to move himself to the next level
Notable prospects are marincin fedun and martindale thats who i'll be watching for anyway
