Lets go buffchester sabmerks!

BalticWarrior 10-13-2012 06:27 AM

Hope girgensons will show more in this game than the last :)

LaxSabre 10-13-2012 08:03 AM

Wish the Time Warner Cable Sports Channels (Buffalo-Rochester) picked up the Sportsnet One coverage and showed the game LIVE. Guess you don't want to piss off the four alumni (two each) of San Jose State/Utah State that now live in the Western New York area.

Well good luck to the Amerks - hope they get some revenge on the Marlies who swept them out of the playoffs last season. Prediction: 3-2 Amerks win.

From what I understand, there's a lot of hoops to jump through to pick up the broadcast from Canada and show it in the U.S. We were lucky to get those two playoff games on TV last year.

Chainshot 10-13-2012 09:19 AM

Tropp already out. So it begins...

ckg927 10-13-2012 01:52 PM

In addition to getting the game on Sportsnet One(which we can't get in the states), WHTK and TSN 1050 will stream the game.

http://www.tsn.ca/radio and then follow the TSN Radio 1050 link.

Also, the Marlies and Amerks will likely be playing in front of a packed house; less than 100 tickets are available as of 40 minutes ago.

They will be on radio, not streaming just to point out.

Yeap it should be a full house a lot of people are going with the lockout it seems. As well the only other way it's available for stream would be AHL live.

Video, yes. Audio, I think, is a whole other story...I've streamed AHL games before with no problems.

joshjull 10-13-2012 02:41 PM

Any word on Tropp's replacement?

I wish they had added just one more AHL vet. Whitmore could've been had as recently as a few weeks ago.

I think the easiest solution is just to slot in Parker (or Sundher), and bump up Mancari and Rankin by a line.

I still haven't seen anything yet, but FWIW Flynn was the 13th forward in practice early in the week before Rolston added Roy and Sundher to the main group in the next few days.

I'd like to see what Frederick Roy can do. I think he's a guy who can carve out a nice niche for himself, at least at the AHL level.

sabresfan129103 10-13-2012 03:44 PM

will Roy play with Tropp out?

We'll see if there's any favoritism to the drafted prospect (Sundher) or if they go with the longshots like Roy or Parker.

Fly Boy 10-13-2012 04:01 PM

so chat?

also has the game started? The stream says the video isn't available yet.

double edit: nevermind here we go.

Woodhouse 10-13-2012 04:07 PM

Flynn dresses in place of Tropp; same defensemen as last night.

WHTK is also having some issue with Don Stevens' audio so he's been doing his pre-game by cell phone I believe.

ckg927 10-13-2012 04:10 PM

TSN 1050 is coming through OK.

(Alas, they're talking over the American anthem.)

WHTK still sounds like it's coming from a submarine.

sabresfan129103 10-13-2012 04:12 PM

stream is up and running.

looks like we got a good broadcast team as well. It's the holy mackinaw guy.

Woodhouse 10-13-2012 04:14 PM

Amerks to the PP already. :)

ckg927 10-13-2012 04:14 PM

Penalty to the Marlies early on.

Ryan Hamilton for high sticking Brennan. Ref saw it from the get go.

Woodhouse 10-13-2012 04:17 PM

Of course we'll take a penalty to negate our PP. Adam off for HS.

ckg927 10-13-2012 04:17 PM

Luke Adam goes for high sticking.

PP over.

Woodhouse 10-13-2012 04:18 PM

Girgensons got a shift there with Hodgson in 4v4 play.
