i've also counted numerous instances where Sgarbossa has come back and made a goal saving defensive play. He's a good two way guy.

The Pwnerer 10-21-2012 06:15 PM

This team is great with the transitions, 6 great/above average D-men offensively. Good move.

electricjib 10-21-2012 06:18 PM

Also where is the almighty Jack Campbell?

The GDT on the Stars board is pretty apoplectic about the line-up they've got tonight. And with good reason, it would seem.

Hey Campbell is going to be awesome, just not now.

Also Sgarbossa is really becoming comfortable and you can see why he won the scoring race last season.

S E P H 10-21-2012 06:22 PM

Also this camera is like a chase scene from The Bourne Supremacy, ahaha.

klozge 10-21-2012 06:27 PM

3:0 after 2 periods and one of our two goalies in net? Sure thing. Monsters will win this game.

Not saying he won't. I just hear how good he is all the time and wanted to see him and Pickard in a show down.

Great game here tonight.

LEM is really playing well. It looks really organized; everyone knows what they are supposed to do out there.

He has been terrible in this season. I haven't seen him play but he's the 6th worst (46th best) goalie in the league according to the stats. It's early, so the stats don't mean ****, but there's a reason why he's not playing tonight.

This sounds like terrible practice for when they make it to the Avs :sarcasm:

Sacco isn't that bad. I really hate when people forget the state this team is in. It was the 3rd year of the rebuild.

electricjib 10-21-2012 06:45 PM

Ah we still get our show down :)

electricjib 10-21-2012 06:46 PM

LERG! haha

klozge 10-21-2012 06:46 PM

4:0 :)

skip2mybordeleau 10-21-2012 06:46 PM

that was a nice move.

electricjib 10-21-2012 06:46 PM

Campbell Raycrapped that one.

Kschey 10-21-2012 06:47 PM

Wow, this team really, really looks good.

They seem to be very tough to play against, great forechecking, great on the PK, so far very good goaltending but also decent offensive skills.

electricjib 10-21-2012 06:57 PM

They really limit the chances the other teams get too. All the forwards backcheck hard and contribute deffensively to clear up rebounds.

On a random not, it's fun seeing Toby Petersen. He was one of my favorite players at CC. I remember he had a good run with the Penguins and the Dallas Stars for awhile.

The fact that he's still playing professionally is incredible. He's a no quit guy. I remember when he was at CC he literally busted both knees. He had a almost entire knee replacement on both sides. He's a good guy too.

Yeah Sacco isn't "that bad", but I still am not sure if he's the "answer" going forward. I'm not sold on him, and I don't think he's shown anything to make us believe that he can improve going forward. In his 1st year as HC, he rode a hot Craig Anderson to the PO's.

Quinn has a proven track record at BU and with Lake Erie, and this Chynoweth guy has been coaching in the minors for a while as well, so the experience is there.

I still don't think it's long before we're seeing the headline "Sacco fired, Quinn named new Avalanche Head Coach"

electricjib 10-21-2012 07:02 PM

Pock and Barrie seem to have good chemistry. I'd be interested to see if they get a promotion whenever the NHL season starts. They'd be a good third pairing to have perhaps?

I thought I rememberd Pock only wanting to play in the NHL....curious to see if his play with Barrie keeps him around the organization. They are good together.

Is this the first LEM game of this season you're watching? ;) It is a great team this year.

skip2mybordeleau 10-21-2012 07:04 PM

i still don't know how much better quinn or whoever will be than sacco, clearly sacco hasn't impressed alot of fans, but it's deja vu when we were sick of granato and sacco was our godsend short after that.
