Up and Comers

One "up and comer" that's done very well is Samuel Morin of the Rimouski Oceanique. He hasn't fought much yet cause he just turned 17 but when he does ,watch out!

Who are some up and comers in the leagues you follow?

His former teammate Alexandre Mallet seems pretty tough as well.

Millman and Mallet had a scrap. I'd say it was a draw with the slight(very slight) edge to Mallet as Millman mostly got Mallet on the top of his helmet while the much smaller Mallet got in a ton of jabs and a good punch at the end.

Mallet-6'1 172 lbs
Millman-6'5 240

Moncton picked up forward Kyle Haas who was cut from the WHL. I've been very impressed with him so far. He took on Millman in his first QMJHL fight and did very well, landing a haymaker right that stunned Millman. He also beat up McGrath from PEI and won decisively over Robert Davis of Bathurst. I'm pumped that he's only 18 and will be in Moncton again next season as a 19 year old. Here's a couple of his fights I could find.:

Johnny McGuire:
Aug 28, 1993
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 190 LBS
Undrafted

Position: Right Wing

Comparable Player: Kyle Neuber

Future: AHL/ECHL enforcer

Pound for pound he's fighter in the OHL. He's a terrible hockey player but he can certainly drop the gloves.

Never really heard of him prior to your post. He can really handle himself well , especially for someone who's usually smaller than his opponents. Very decisive win against over Tinordi too.

Johnny McGuire is the best in the OHL. He was the only guy to beat Mathers last year. Jake Doty is the best in the WHL. In the USHL; Campbell Elynuik, Mike McKee, and Woody Hudson.

Yeah, I can't disagree with you there. Johnny McGuire, Derek Mathers and Daniel Zweep are candidates for the best fighter in the OHL.

QMJHL's best fighter is Noreau or Kyle Haas. They have yet to fight one another but it should be a great tilt to say the least and it takes place on Saturday
Haas has came in and has yet to lose a fight, beating other tops fighters and more recently getting a TKO against 6'5 240 lbs heavyweight Blake Millman Wednesday.

Disappointing that they didn't go on Saturday. Hope Noreau doesn't get rusty with only one scrap on the season.
