Koudys played for RPI, not RIT, and he dropped out of school after last season.
He now plays for Muskegon (USHL).

Not sure what it has to do with RIT/Michigan, but Koudys is no longer at RPI; idk how he's looked with Muskegeon (USHL) this season. From what I saw of him at RPI, he had size, average shot and above-average puck distribution skills, but really needed to improve his footwork, speed and pivots, as he looked slow; definitely a defensive d-man. Idk if his summer training concentrated on that or not.

And RIT was down 3-0 at one point, I think. :handclap:

Down 3-1 at one point, as it was 3-1 after 1. (Edit -- Or not. Memory's gone missing.)

Rough game to watch from my end as a (new) Michigan student (adding Yost citizenship to my Lynah time from Cornell)... goaltending for Michigan was terrible, the winner was a squeaker through. Props to Watson from RIT, he made a few huge saves though, and got hung out to dry at least once by his defenders on a goal.

It was 3-0 about 15 minutes in; RIT's first period goal came inside of the last minute of play.

Oh yeah.... guess my mind is already trying to forget the game... sorry about that. Think I forgot it cause it was so quick after Mich's 3rd goal, so it was 3-0 for about 30 seconds.

Edit -- Yea.... Mich's 3rd goal at 18:37 of the 1st, followed by RIT's first at 19:06 of the first. (Box Score)

Yeah, my bad on the time of the 3rd Michigan goal. I had the game on the radio at work and had left on my lunch break immediately after the 3rd Mich goal and missed the RIT goal. I was just taking a wild stab at the time it was 3-0...

It was actually Bowling Green that Niagara tied - they then got blasted by Colgate 10-2 the next night. For a little while I thought that RIT was heading into that territory against Michigan tonight, but that was a great character win.

No worries. Either way, tomorrow's game will be interesting on both sides. The confidence boost that win gave RIT has to be enormous, so can they keep it rolling tomorrow? And on the flipside... how does Michigan respond to a loss like that?

Whoops, saw Falcons in headline and assumed it was Air Force; but yeah, an awfully shaky first period from RIT but the crappy opening goal gave them something to build on and Watson later bailed them out a few times to keep 'em in it.

It's actually kind of amazing how many repeat names in hockey there are considering there's only 58 teams.

As an aside, if a mod is reading this, can we get a title change reflecting the new season? I can't figure how to do it (or even if I can do it anymore...)

I actually did that - which is why the "title" of the first post is different from the thread title now

Well, that requires a mod then; they could also opt to pull out everything from my post onward and make a 'College Hockey: 2012-13 Season' thread.

Try double clicking right at the end of the title before the parenthesis when you're on the index page.
It should just become a textbox, which will allow you to edit the title.

Nothing happens for me. Maybe it's such an old thread a mod has to do it now. :dunno:

I guess it is still 2012 for now

Terriers out to a good start winning the opener against Providence.
