See OP's first line of text. :sarcasm:

Woodhouse 10-27-2012 08:24 AM

Both teams played last night. I'd still expect Leggio to start in goal, as it's not a 3-in-3 for Rochester, but Adirondack does play tomorrow afternoon, so I'd expect to see Munroe tonight and possibly some other lineup changes to stay fresh, shake-it-up.

Oh yea, your first line of text must be some funky code for "hey DL the Ihearttadio app for a smartphone to get the games"

:biglaugh:

Seriously, I saw the first line. My post addressed something else.

:thumbu:

Keep up the good work!

Heeter played last night so I'd definitely expect Munroe tonight.

wow 244 shots on Leggio. That is a lot of shots averaging 35 a game. At this rate he will be worn out by December. Worst goals against 27(we have played a few more games than some) however Lake Erie with same amount of games have allowed 16 goals.

Mistake by the Sabres to go with almost all offensive defenseman. They just can't play defense. They said in June a vet defenseman was a priority and then they just didn't sign one. Predictably, the defense is a huge weak point.

Going to my first Amerks game of the year tonight. I will try and take some notes and report back tomorrow.

HockeyH3aven 10-27-2012 10:38 AM

Is the AHL website broken or are the amerks really in the Western conference?

Adirondack's beat writer expects Munroe to start as well; projects tonight's scratches as Wellwood, Mangene, Roe, Lauridsen, Dimmen.

Everyone in the Eastern Conference is further east than Rochester though. They are however the eastern-most team in the Western Conference and also have the western-most team (Abbottsford, BC) in their division.

hockey18 10-27-2012 12:24 PM

All offensive defensemen ? Have you watched any games? FInley? BIega? McKEnzie? Pysik? THey are all defensive defensemen. Defense is a team effort and everyone has to be involved in the backcheck.

Yes I've probably watched more games than anyone on here. The defense, as a whole, is very offensive. They've mostly had the same defense since the beginning of last season and they've always been poor in their own zone.

Fly Boy 10-27-2012 02:03 PM

I see Schenn, Couturier, and then what I can only possibly imagine as a bunch of goons on that Adirondack team.

Chainshot 10-27-2012 02:43 PM

Too bad Tropp isn't able to tune up Rinaldo again. Maybe someone else can knock his punkin' block off instead.

No, not really. Pysyk plays both ends of the ice well, but Biega's definitely a more offensive than defensive player. Brennan and McNabb hit and score, but I don't think either are anything special defensively, and Brennan is outright awful in his own zone sometimes. Finley is definitely D-first, but he's also slow as hell, and MacKenzie's just...young. That group could definitely be helped out by adding a steady stay-at-home vet.

I'm sure Foligno doesn't like Rinaldo, they've had some run-ins in the past. I wouldn't mind seeing him tee off on him. :)

Rinaldo has been playing well according to their broadcast crew. He laid a solid open ice hit on Larsson last night. (Rinaldo segment starts around 2:40 in above clip, hit at 2:55)

very much agree

Revelate 10-27-2012 06:19 PM

Nice shift by Zemgus, following a poor Amerks PP.

Revelate 10-27-2012 06:22 PM

GOAL! - Schofield. Nice shift by the whole line. Roy will probably get his first point on that.

Edit: Nope..Brennan and Tarnasky with the assists.

Timbo Slice 10-27-2012 06:22 PM

Score! 1-0 Rochester!

Timbo Slice 10-27-2012 06:23 PM

Brennan and TarNasty get the assists on the goal.
