Guess what? You're not funny.

A quiet Halloween morning win.

brian_griffin 10-31-2012 07:54 AM

"In" before it's no longer hip, sexy, and rockin...

Have fun trick or treating.

Penalty Killa 10-31-2012 08:20 AM

The Ring scared the snot out of me.

Recently, Cabin in the Woods was enjoyable.

Favorite scary movie? Go.

slip 10-31-2012 08:33 AM

Evil Dead back in the day. I see they're making a new one.

Anything with zombies will work too.

Cabin in the Woods was awesome.

I'm a big fan of the latest Dawn of the Dead, I thought it was better than the original.

I think you can never go wrong with extraneous nudity and gory killings so most slasher flicks get my vote. Personally, the religious / satanic movies generally hold my intrigue more than the zombie, werewolf, vampire genre.

Silence Of The Plams 10-31-2012 08:59 AM

Anyone hear that angry man call shredd and ragan telling them to stop sending kids to kenmore?

Agree.
Hockey masks (we all love hockey) and chainsaws (I use them frequently) are part of everyday life. And for ONG, I suppose extraneous nudity is too.
But anything where the antagonist is the devil - or worse, unknowingly a manifestation of the devil - gives me the creeps. See The Exorcist, Angelheart, The Devil's Advocate, etc.

I hate you.

BuiltTagonTough 10-31-2012 09:45 AM

I still haven't seen Cabin in the Woods but it looked great.

Evil Dead is still up there, and Army of Darkness too although that's more of a comedy than anything. The Crow may or may not count but that will always crack the Top 10.

Afino 10-31-2012 09:52 AM

Showgirls.

Absolutely frightening.

Dixon Ward 10-31-2012 10:41 AM

the exorcist was a comedy, right? because it made me laugh, a lot.

i'm partial to the friday the 13th franchise for good, campy horror-fun. the halloween series is probably a close second. vincent price's house on haunted hill was one of my favorites as a kid. the people under the stairs is another good one.

New Sabres Captain 10-31-2012 10:48 AM

Anything with Hugh Grant.

**shudders**

EDIT: Oh you want favorite, not scariest...gonna have to think about that.

Chainshot 10-31-2012 10:54 AM

Anyone ever sit through "Heaven's Gate"? Talk about terrifying...

Images of Gandhi as an outsourced IT person just flashed through my head.

HockeyH3aven 10-31-2012 11:14 AM

The original Saw, easy.

I hear that's the premise for the new UHF show "Gandhi III"

CriminallyVu1gar 10-31-2012 11:49 AM

I rather liked The Conjurer as a horror movie. Slither as well, for different reasons. I don't really get scared by movies, so I think the best horror is psychological, things that make me uncomfortable. Mouth to Mouth wins there.

Penalty Killa 10-31-2012 11:59 AM

The original Paranormal Activity really scared me. I think it was because you couldn't see anything scary; it was all in your head. Plus the fact that it was in your home made me paranoid as hell for days after watching it. In fact, I refused to be a room by myself for 24 hours after watching it. Clock even had to stand outside the bathroom when I had to go... Oy.

Probably not, but I hate all of them, too. ;)

We had one of those emails where moron #1 CC'd in a huge DL and then morons #2 to x replied all with the "Why am I getting this email???" and "People, stop replying all...."

I got over 30 replies to this one email.

I needed to vent without replying to all. So, I made that my IM status message and posted it on different places.

:handclap:

brian_griffin 10-31-2012 01:43 PM

yeah.
Brings back fond memories of co-workers replying-all on external spam emails with blind cc: all_users which bogged down the corporate networks (in the days before the systems, firewalls, and filters were more rigorous).

let's just say some security guards really shouldn't be given computer user accounts. Give them internet access to waste the night shift away, but by golly, disconnect their email account. I don't need to know that a couple parking spots have been reserved for Bubba-Joe scheduled to visit tomorrow. I trust you'll do your job, and the world won't end if you don't.

brian_griffin 10-31-2012 01:52 PM

For halloween, I'm dressed as a guy who's going to have a couple pints of IPA after work. Heading to sports bar where I used to go to watch hockey. Wondering if the staff will be in costume or not...
