Would you trade Galchenyuk for Yakupov ?

Right now, are you willing to trade Galchenyuk for Yakupov, one for one ?

Why even make this poll? You know damn well that Gally will win and we're just going to end up looking like total homeristic *******s in front of everyone.

No I wouldn't trade Gally for Yakupov, but im not saying he's going to better necessarily, I like his skill set a lot more and he's the best center in the draft imo.

theboss 10-31-2012 11:01 AM

Rielly is better then both. That would have been a better question

Simerc 10-31-2012 11:03 AM

I'd trade him for Yakupov, then trade Yakupov and a 2nd for Jankowski.

vokiel 10-31-2012 11:04 AM

Nope, we rolled the dices and that's it. Redo the poll in 2-3 years.

This sums 'er up.

Both are very good players, but the correct answer is likely 'yes'.

Edit: This isn't a shot at you guys. All fan bases do this.

No. I prefer centers than wingers. And even if Yakupov ends up being the more productive player, I like the seriousness Gally is showing in his training (based on everything I read about it). He could turn out to be a kinda leader that preaches by example, and I like it. That's what you need to win a cup.

Why is this even a question? Nothing has changed since draft day. One was taken first overall and one was taken third overall. There's no chance that Edmonton would ever consider Galchenyuk for Yakupov straight up. None.

I consider Yakupov the best prospect in the world right now, and I don't think Galchenyuk is close to that, yet. Could he be? Possibly, he's a still a young player and has a ton of potential.

MasterDecoy 10-31-2012 11:26 AM

I am sitting next to an oilers friend of mine who is from Montreal, so he follows (somewhat) Habs prospects, he said unequivocally yes. I voted no.

He's drunk so I won hold it against him...

No seriously though: yakupov has an insane shot. Close to stamkos in terms of one timers. But the only reason why i said yes was out lack of top centers AND the recent quotes of various people that gally might have been the best player's of te draft.

Yakupov: sure shot sniping winger.
Gally: no idea, but it's good.

Voted gally, but I wouldn't be mad either way...

Like a drunken 8-ball, ask again later

And that's exactly why it's an interesting poll. It won't only give us an idea of how much we are a bunch of biased homers, but how much the human being can basically lie to himself to find a bit of confort.

pointless thread. If you have a trade proposal, put it in the trade proposal thread.
