Fantasy Basketball

Anyone else doing fantasy basketball? I always forget to do fantasy football, but one of my friends asked me to join a league for bball. Seems pretty legit.

MurrayBannerman 10-31-2012 07:18 PM

If it locks every week, sure.

Chris Hansen 10-31-2012 07:30 PM

Would be happy to join a league with some of you if enough are interested.

MurrayBannerman 10-31-2012 07:55 PM

Like I said, weekly locks would be good. I don't have the attention span for daily.

Chris Hansen 10-31-2012 08:16 PM

You can set your lineup for the week ahead all on a single day in any basketball league. Same as with fantasy hockey.

digdug41982 10-31-2012 09:08 PM

Sure, why not, if it is money like 20-25 bucks. Otherwise I won't be active. So is it like roto baseball or head to head?

Eh, I'd still prefer weekly.

Chris Hansen 10-31-2012 09:18 PM

I imagine we'd do HTH.

MurrayBannerman 10-31-2012 09:23 PM

I'm definitely not confident enough to put money down on this though

Does it really matter that much? Yahoo even adopted a tool where you just click it for each day and it'll adjust you to have your lineup filled for the day. You could set up your team for the week in about 60 seconds every Monday.

Also, no money for me either

We've got a 6 teamer with guys at work. It's almost more fun to do this especially with basketball, every team is stacked and there's tons of quality on the market.

MurrayBannerman 10-31-2012 09:45 PM

I'd be fine with few teams and small lineups.

I feel like 8 is the optimal amount, but I can see why 6 would be fun. I'm in a 10-teamer and it's sort of dull.

Chris Hansen 10-31-2012 09:56 PM

If 7 others besides myself are interested, I'll set up a yahoo league. Standard head-to-head scoring and style. PM me or just post in here if you're in, either works. Not sure how many people on here like basketball, hopefully we can get enough.

Pepe Silvia 10-31-2012 10:03 PM

I'd be down

MurrayBannerman 10-31-2012 10:09 PM

Sure.

IU Hawks fan 10-31-2012 10:12 PM

I'd play for 20-25. If it's no money I know I wont pay attention.

Yup.

Pepe Silvia 10-31-2012 10:21 PM

Yeah I'll play for $25. We have 6 so far

Chris Hansen 10-31-2012 10:22 PM

I can't really afford to offer up money, sorry guys. But you can go ahead.

I don't know if I can either. I'll join a free league for fun. Maybe $5 for ***** and gigs.

RomersWorld* 11-01-2012 02:58 AM

I am in for money or free.

Chris Hansen 11-01-2012 10:01 AM

Up to 4 people (including myself) for a free yahoo league. Still need 4 more.

digdug41982 11-01-2012 12:33 PM

What about the 5 dollar idea and we all do it, winner take all, get some groceries or something...
