It would be nice to see McNabb bounce back after a pretty terrible game. I'm going to assume Leggio gets the start seeing how they don't play again until next Friday.

Woodhouse 11-03-2012 03:56 PM

Pateryn will be out for Hamilton tonight:

INJURY UPDATE: @BulldogsAHL D Greg Pateryn sustained a fractured elbow in last night's game. He will have surgery and is out indefinitely.

Leggio may be in net for a while - at least Kevin O thinks so.

Hodgson's out:

No Cody Hodgson in #Amerks lineup tonight (upper body). #Sabres C has 1-9-10 in 1st 9 games. Apparently hurt in Adir game, struggled Friday.

Hopefully it's just a minor thing and he'll be back soon.

Kevin O doesn't think it's serious.

Woodhouse 11-03-2012 05:32 PM

Per Kevin O, Knapp vs Mayer in goal; that'll mean it's the pro debut for Knapp.

Check the OP and use one of the streams there. It's working for me.

Also, yay it's a scoreboard. :handclap:

and at least on the french one - one that lists the time left in the powerplays - hey Amerks and TWC Sports Channel get with it and put one on yours! Yes, one of the best feeds I've seen in a while for AHL games.

Fly Boy 11-03-2012 06:17 PM

It's only been 3 min. but this play by play guy might be the most clueless one I've ever listened to.

The stream on firstrowsports in the OP is in English.

Rhett4 11-03-2012 06:33 PM

Knapp turns away 10 shots in the first 10 minutes. Good start. Not good that the D gives up a shot a minute, though... (to be fair they had to kill a 5 on 3)

Rhett4 11-03-2012 06:40 PM

McNabb and Boyce with a decent tilt.

Rhett4 11-03-2012 06:45 PM

Really liking Porter tonight. He's using his speed and being particularly crafty. He set Foligno up for a couple great chances.

gdsmack267 11-03-2012 06:50 PM

Porter was having a good game until that terrible play on the 5 on 3 lol

Woodhouse 11-03-2012 07:03 PM

1st period notes:
  • Adam is down after a neutral zone hit; Brennan takes a roughing penalty in the ensuing scrum, Bulldogs to the PP; Bournival gets cross-checked by Mancari as he looks for a rebound, so make that a 5v3 Hamilton PP now; eight saves already for Knapp as the first penalty expires; and now the second penalty expires.
  • Girgensons open in the slot, robbed by Mayer's glove.
  • Tarnasky and Stortini fight; decision goes to Stortini IMO.
  • Boyce sends Porter into the Hamilton net and gets two for interfence, Amerks to the PP; Adam receives a backdoor pass, but attempt saved by Mayer; Geoffrion sends Rankin to the ice; penalty expires.
  • McNabb and Boyce with the second fight of the period; this one's a draw I guess as Boyce kept McNabb tied up for most of it, size mismatch.
  • Porter streaks in, puck falls to Foligno in left circle, but Mayer saves the wrister.
  • Foligno hits the left post with another wrister off another rush.
  • Roy takes a hooking penalty on the backcheck, Bulldogs to the PP; Blunden gets called for cross-checking, negating the PP; and now Mayer shoots one into the crowd, so Amerks with a 5v3 for 1:23 soon; plenty of possession, a few backdoor attempts; first penalty expires...
  • END OF 1ST PERIOD. RCH 0 - HAM 0. SHOTS RCH 12 - HAM 15. RCH 5v4 PP 0:17.

Ahh thats cool that stream has the english feed. Although I always have problems with firstrowsports - feeds are never good for me. Sticking with these french feed - although wish there was sound.

What Amerk did they interview in the first period intermission?

Now theres audio on the french stream - but ya gotta turn your audio way up though.

Now its showing some boxing match? WTF? Guess I gotta go first row.

I got a text, looked down, and missed Flynn's goal. Doh!

Forigino doesn't belong in this league anymore.

If not for Bettman and Fehr, he wouldn't be.

ya its even more apparent without Hodgeson playing, Foligno is far and away the best player on the ice
