Admirals vs. Tigers - Yes, it starts at 8 am

I don't expect much activity in this thread, but maybe some of the Europeans can find a stream and give us a rundown on what happened.

KEEROLE Vatanen 11-07-2012 02:36 AM

my god the AHL is run by geniuses......

Now you know how it's for us every darn NHL-game :)

I'll probably watch the game if there is a free stream around. Puck drop 5 pm my local time.

Kalvinators 11-07-2012 04:33 AM

Why this time change?

Admiral Al 11-07-2012 07:56 AM

I think Admirals will eat their wheaties and get a win, probably will help the younger guys who went to bed earlie, prediction 4-2
Sami gets a goall and assist.

Kalvinators 11-07-2012 08:16 AM

Searched for streams. Nothing. :(

Kalvinators 11-07-2012 09:55 AM

Andersen in net.

I`ll listen it here: http://lightningstream.surfernetwork...rgetHeight=434

quentez 11-07-2012 10:04 AM

I bought access to AHL Live.

Looks like they've amped up the quality a bit. Looking quite good.

quentez 11-07-2012 10:13 AM

1-0 Bridgeport. Very weak by Andersen.

quentez 11-07-2012 10:19 AM

Very physical out there. Brodie just got crushed to the ice in a fight after Norfolk got a PP.

Some nifty looking moves by Holland getting the puck over the blue line there. Love what I'm seeing!

Sojourn 11-07-2012 10:21 AM

I'm trying real hard to imagine the Admirals winning. Is it working?

quentez 11-07-2012 10:31 AM

Not yet. But we have another PP now.

Lord Flashheart 11-07-2012 10:34 AM

Just turned on the radio. Is Vatanen playing with Lindholm at ES as well? Because I didn't like Hendry-Vatanen pairing...

quentez 11-07-2012 10:37 AM

Vatanen is not paired with Lindholm, no. And Vatanen is having a pretty awful game yet again (so far).

McMillan just missed an open net shorthanded.

End of 1st period.

Vatanen seems to be playing with some kind of an injury. His movement is by far the slowest of the game and he goes for a change after only few seconds on the ice. Holland has been impressive so far in the game.

Well Vatanen did have a bad season ending leg injury last spring (and the season before that too), maybe that's still haunting him? :(

Sojourn 11-07-2012 10:50 AM

That's something we probably wouldn't hear about until later. Based on the way he has played so far this season though, a year in the AHL would do Vatanen good, because I really wouldn't feel comfortable with him in the NHL playing the way he is.

quentez 11-07-2012 10:57 AM

Right now, I'll actually prefer Lindholm over Vatanen in NHL. He looks so damn composed - all the time. And he makes really fast (and good) decisions with and without the puck. Astonishing features to see from such a young lad.

quentez 11-07-2012 11:00 AM

2nd period go!

Early PP for Norfolk.

1-1 PALMIERI!

Great goal.

If you were watching this game you wouldn't feel comfortable with him in any league at all. He obviosly needs time off ice.

Ditto. I might be letting my enthusiasm for Lindholm get the better of me, but right now he just seems a better fit at the NHL level in almost every way(save offense). Vatanen's weaknesses are only going to be more prominent at the NHL level, and right now there just isn't enough inbetween his strengths and his weaknesses to keep him afloat when he isn't doing well offensively. Just my take.

quentez 11-07-2012 11:08 AM

Bridgeport back up 2-1 in the final seconds of PP.

Bbird80 11-07-2012 11:12 AM

Had to buy the game... The stream's good quality, good job Tigers.

Norfolk PP.

Bbird80 11-07-2012 11:16 AM

Lasch dekes and Etem scores! What a beauty! 2-2 now.
