Who to watch?BARONS TO WATCH: The Nordic line may have been the Barons best even strength line in Saturday's win over the Abbotsford Heat. The trio of Paajarvi-Lander-Hartikainen brought a solid cycle game which had the Heat hemmed into their own zone on the majority of their shifts against them. Taylor Hall looked more like himself on Saturday as well, his jump could really spark the Barons club right now after a slow start to their season.

MARLIES TO WATCH: A reunion of sorts will happen in Toronto on Tuesday, former Wisconsin Badgers teammates and fellow '08 Anaheim Ducks draftees Jake Gardiner of the Marlies and Justin Schultz of the Barons will be facing each other for the first time in their pro careers. Gardiner of course is a highly touted young d-man for the Leafs and now Marlies. Also of note are high picks Nazem Kari, Joe Colbourne, and the goalie that took the Barons down in the Western Conference Finals Ben Scrivens. Scrivens like the Barons Danis has had a rough start to the season.

Quotable"It’s his vision. It’s his composure with the puck. It’s his puck skills,” Wisconsin coach Mike Eaves told The Province. “And the one thing that’s just a gift is his shot. He has the innate ability to get that puck to the net to allow for rebounds, tip-ins and goals. He’s got what we call a ‘smart shot.’

“He can bring the heat, but there are times he recognizes, you have to take a little off to get it at the net. Often times, those are the shots that go in.

“But his shot is very special. That is one unique weapon he’s got.”
-Schultz' former head coach Mike Eaves from Wisconsin on Justin's game

10:30am game in OKC? On a weekday? Are they trying for a record low crowd?

ejams 11-13-2012 01:32 AM

If there is over 500 fans I will be super super impressed.

Hopefully Schultz keeps it coming and that lovely Nordic line gets some points this time!

402 11-13-2012 01:45 AM

I think the ahl schedule maker needs replacing

Mr Forever 11-13-2012 01:48 AM

These lines make a lot of sense, unlike the games start time.

Who the hell scheduled this nonsense?

The Bored Man 11-13-2012 01:53 AM

The start time is strange because it's the Barons' Kids Day Game. Field trip for local elementary schoolers.

senorchang 11-13-2012 02:29 AM

Gardiner vs Schultz? oh hell yea

Nail and Nuge 11-13-2012 05:34 AM

I predict a big night for our big 4:

Schultz and RNH: 3 assists each
Hallsy: Hat trick
Eberle: Slow night with 2 assists.

Book it.

Jepprey 11-13-2012 05:55 AM

That's some early action on a weekday.

Oilception 11-13-2012 08:37 AM

I no this game is probably really annoying for some, but I have a Long spare today at school and this game will basically fill it.

I agree with nail and nuge looking for a big game from the stars. Going with a 4-1 win

OILSLICK94 11-13-2012 09:29 AM

Anyone in the Ontario region know if this game is covered on LeafsTV or do they only do Marlies Home games.....

I think it's some type of school-kids promotional game. I thought I read on Twitter they're expecting 3,000 children alone. Who knows. Gives me something to follow at work, I guess. ;)

YoungGuns 11-13-2012 09:57 AM

I did it Im a woke !!!!!

ok last time we had a early game ( i think ) was against the thrashers and I seemed to remember a certain dynamic player get his first hatrick :naughty:

Oilception 11-13-2012 10:31 AM

pancirios 11-13-2012 10:33 AM

I've been scouring some sites - nothing yet for links.

YAKUGOD 11-13-2012 10:38 AM

zzz so early

Reimer 11-13-2012 10:39 AM

Wow I'm surprised to see the Barons record at 6-5-1. I swear I must only catch a post game when they lose. I thought they honestly only had like 3 or 4 wins tops and were well under .500.

The Head Crusher 11-13-2012 10:39 AM

Crap 1-0 Marlies

pancirios 11-13-2012 10:43 AM

Stole this from the Toronto thread, NOT up yet but says it may be soon.

Lacaar 11-13-2012 10:43 AM

I thought they were crazy then read about the school field trips and thought wow cool idea.

Oilception 11-13-2012 10:46 AM

Until the stream is up you can listen to it on live365 which is what im doing

currently on the Power Play

Bryanbryoil 11-13-2012 10:50 AM

They need to forecheck hard and get Rynnas to handle the puck as much as possible, he's been horrible at it.

Bryanbryoil 11-13-2012 10:58 AM

The NHLers are finally starting to play like NHLers in the AHL. Loving the Nordic line as well and Harski's work in front of the net on the PP, the kid has definitely arrived. Marincin has been very solid as well so far.

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 03:25 AM.
