What Arenas Have You Attended Games At?

I got the idea for this thread on another forum. They can be minor league, college, juniors, or whatever!

1) Total count?
2) Favorite arena?
3) Least favorite arena?
4) Future arenas you plan to visit?

NHL:
1) Mellon Arena - Pittsburgh Penguins
2) CONSOL Energy Center - RMU/Pittsburgh Penguins
AHL:
3) Quicken Loans Arena - Lake Erie Monsters
ECHL:
4) WesBanco Arena - Wheeling Nailers
SPHL:
5 Mississippi Coast Coliseum - Mississippi Surge
Juniors:
6) Covelli Centre - Youngstown Phantoms - USHL
7) Bladerunners Ice Complex (Harmarville) - Three Rivers Vengeance - NA3HL
8) Cambria County War Memorial - Johnstown Tomahawks - NAHL

Favorite - Cambria County War Memorial
Least Favorite - CONSOL Energy Center
Future - CajunDome, Pensacola Civic Center, Huntington Center, Ann Arbor Ice Cube (maybe), Joe Louis Arena (maybe), and Compuware Arena (maybe).

Not enough. I am traveling for work all over the country (and canada) this winter and planned on hitting up quite a few. Thanks NHL!

FuriousSenator 11-14-2012 05:27 PM

Just Scotiabank Place so my favourite and least favourite at the same time?

Absolutely brutal commute. I wouldn't even qualify the place as being in Ottawa proper, but nice inside and has decent amenities.

No Fun Shogun 11-14-2012 05:32 PM

NHL
United Center - Chicago Blackhawks

AHL
Allstate Arena - Chicago Wolves
BMO Harris Bank Center - Rockford IceHogs
Peoria Civic Center - Peoria Rivermen
Triphahn Center - preseason Chicago Wolves game in Hoffman Estates

ECHL & NCAA
Sears Centre - Chicago Express & a college hockey doubleheader with Notre Dame, Brown, Minnesota State, & BU

USHL
Edge Ice Arena - Chicago Steel
Pepsi Coliseum - Indiana Ice

ACHA
Big Pond - Illinois Fighting Illini
Edge Ice Arena (2nd sheet) - Robert Morris Eagles

Favorite is obviously the United Center, least favorite was Sears Centre (not knocking it, but with a couple thousand people it feels cavernously empty), and I plan to eventually go to a Carolina Hurricanes game at the PNC Arena when I visit my brother, sister-in-law, and niece at their new place in Durham whenever the NHL is playing again.

Raskolnikov76 11-14-2012 05:44 PM

I don't recall all the names so I'll list the cities:

montreal, boston, detroit, st. louis, columbus, philly, tampa, sunrise, atlanta, long island, anaheim, LA, phoenix, san jose, raleigh, nashville, dallas and denver.

Dysentery 11-14-2012 05:46 PM

NHL-Boston Gardens
Scotia Bank Place Ottawa
Ottawa Civic Center

OHL-Ottawa Civic Center

AHL-Aiken Center Fredericton

Been to many areans across Ontario and Quebec, but I was the one playing.

The Nuge 11-14-2012 05:59 PM

NHL:
Rexall Place
Rogers Arena
Jobing.com Arena

Junior:
Pacific Coliseum
Rexall Place (technically)

My favorite is definitely Jobing.com Arena. The surrounding area is great to hang out before the game

My least favorite has to be Rexall

I'll be going to Abbotsford Entertainment & Sports Centre soon to see the Heat play

Bryzard of Oz 11-14-2012 06:10 PM

NHL
Winnipeg Arena
MTS Centre
Wells Fargo Center
Joe Louis Arena
American Airlines Center
Rexall Place
Madison Square Gardens

Favorite - Wells Fargo, homer vote but it was a dream to see a Flyers games there

Worst - MTS Centre, it's like being crammed in a sardine can and in the upper deck if someone leans forward you can't see a good third of the ice

TTOMO 11-14-2012 06:20 PM

NHL:
Pacific Coliseum
Rogers Arena
Madison Square Garden (2006)
Nassau Coliseum (2006, 2011)

Bell Centre (2011)
Wells Fargo Center (2011)

CHL:

Good God, this will be a long one...

NHL

Memorial Aud & First Niagara Center(Buffalo Sabres)
Mellon Arena(Pittsburgh Penguins)

AHL

Blue Cross Arena(Rochester Americans)
Copps Coliseum(Hamilton Bulldogs)
Ricoh Coliseum(Toronto Marlies)

OHL

Barrie Molson Centre(Barrie Colts)
Garden City Complex(Niagara IceDogs)
Hershey Centre(Mississauga Majors/Steelheads)
Powerade Centre(Brampton Batallion)
GM Centre(Oshawa Generals)
Peterborough Memorial Centre(Peterborough Petes)

WFCU Centre(Windsor Spitfires)
Budweiser Gardens(London Knights)
Sleeman Centre(Guelph Storm)

College

Dwyer Arena(Niagara Purple Eagles)
Buffalo State Ice Arena(Canisius Golden Griffins)

Best: Budweiser Gardens. Almost NHL in miniature, they do a lot of things right.

Worst: Compuware Arena. This is what happens when you decide to play hockey in a big box-looking store. NOTHING works for them-save maybe the team store-and the PA announcer is the worst I've heard in all my travels.

Kevin27nyi 11-14-2012 06:25 PM

NHL:

Nassau Coliseum, MSG, Prudential Center

AHL:

Webster Bank Arena

Leafidelity 11-14-2012 06:55 PM

NHL:

Maple Leaf Gardens
Air Canada Centre
Montreal Forum
Bell Centre
HSBC Arena
Scotiabank Place

Way too many minor league arenas to list.

Best was Maple Leaf Gardens by far. It felt like I was visiting the Vatican. You could almost feel the ghosts in the Gardens and Forum.

Joe Sakic 11-14-2012 07:17 PM

NHL:
Colorado Avalanche
Minnesota Wild

Both very, very nice arenas.

MapleLeafsFan4Ever 11-14-2012 07:20 PM

Besides the Air Canada Centre I went to see the Maple Leafs play in Tampa Bay in December 2007 at the Tampa Bay Times Forum, when it was still called the St. Pete Times Forum.

Terrence 11-14-2012 07:38 PM

I've been outside of probably more than half of the arenas in the league, but since it's always been summertime, I couldn't go to a game.

ssdlpf 11-14-2012 08:06 PM

NHL:
Rexall Place (Edmonton Oilers)

CHL:
Rexall Place (Edmonton Oil Kings)

Favorite:
Rexall Place

Least Favorite:
Rexall Place

I'm a big traveller.

duckchobbins 11-14-2012 08:37 PM

Bell Centre
Air Canada Center
Melon Arena
MSG
Nassau Coliseum
RBC Center
First Niagara Center
Scotiabank Place
TD Garden
Boston Garden
EDIT: Might as well add Fenway Park in there.

The best is hard to say, I really enjoyed the Bell Centre, and ACC, but Melon Arena was awesome just because it had a strange classic charm that I loved. MSG was hands down the worst, and as heinous as Nassau Coliseum was, the parking situation was awesome.

Providence Civic Centrum, Worcester Centrum for AHL games.
