Ah Hemsky... Despite what all the haters say about him, he will always have a place in my heart.

I dont know what's more unlikely, an 82 game season for Hemsky, or a thread mentioning Hemsky that isnt 90% sarcastic comments about injuries.

Hemsky is a decent 2nd liner that gives away the puck too much. Beast? Not so much.

I love Hemsky's skill, but damn I don't think there is a player in the league who has more plays die with the puck on their stick than Ales.

His value never changed. Maybe some people might stop criminally undervaluing him now though.. It's sad how many think Lupul is better.


Video is excellent. Music is awful.. Sounds like it was synthesized in the early 90s for a $2 video game.

I'm not even kidding when I show people who have never watched hockey before videos of Ovechkin, Crosby and Hemsky everyone thinks the Hemsky videos are the most exciting/cool. Really weird. His game is so smooth and elegant.

Highlight reels don't do any player justice, otherwise Morgan Rielly is the second coming of Bobby Orr. I think people could make videos twice as long of Hemsky being terrible.

Not that I'm saying he is a terrible player, I just don't think he's anything special.

Hemsky is one of the most hated players on HFboards.

One of my favourite Hemsky goals ever is at 0:20... Fluery was stunned.


Oh and I just want you guys to know, who compare his health to DiPietro... Hemsky has played about 100 games in a row since his last injury.
