If Full Season Lockout, does Pronger return in 2013-2014?
1 year of recovery time with no pressure due to lockout.
If that's the scenario do you see him returning next season? |
No, unfortunately Pronger has played his last professional hockey game.
|
I cant see it personally ,he has done everything he can in hockey ,i dont see him risking his a life away from the game for one or two more token season,s
|
A bit surprised by the proportion of no votes so far.
If Bryan Berard came back after one of the worst eye injuries, Pronger has a more than decent chance of a comeback. |
I'd want him to, he's a great player, but I just don't know.
|
Hopefully he's done with the NHL...I'm pretty sure his life is a bit more important than having another go with the Flyers
|
No I don't think so. If he does return that's great, but I don't think so. I think he's done.

Wouldn't be surprised if he'd played his last game. Wouldn't be surprised to see him come back either. |

No, he is done. Remember that Shea Weber offer sheet? I dont think the Flyers have any plans for Pronger outside of the LTIR...
|
Shouldn't he be all healed up by then?
|
I think it depends on the recovery he makes. If he's recovered by Christmas and the lockout lasts all season and he has no returning concussion symptoms, I think there's a good chance he makes a go at it. If he recovers in late August, I don't think he really pushes it. If he's still suffering any symptoms at the start of next season, then obviously not.

Even if he got 100% medically cleared to play again (I don't think he'd ever be cleared to play a contact sport, but I'm no doc) I can't see him taking the risk, especially after hearing how much difficulty he's had trying to recover from this one.

He's a 35+ contract and has a NMC. What a deadly combination. |
What does he have to prove?
|
God I hope so
Really, I only want him to come back if he's completely fine. At this point I just want him to have a good life after hockey. |
I hope so, but I think he's done. Such a great player.
|
Hes done plus hes won it all and has nothing else to accomplish.

I heard an interview with his brother on NHL home ice or whatever it is called now and he said he doesn't think Chris ever comes back.
