Liles should go in next.Should have already been in the list.

Kershaw 11-15-2012 06:33 PM

Boyle is #3 behind Karlsson and Letang.

Benny FTW 11-15-2012 06:33 PM

Went with Yandle, thought about Campbell.

Mattb124 11-15-2012 07:02 PM

If things like goals and assists are taken into account when evaluating offensive D-men, it should be Dan Boyle.

tsujimoto74 11-15-2012 07:23 PM

Was between Campbell and Boyle. Went with Soupy. Not sure why Doughty is even close to those 2 in voting other than "omg CUP". The upside may be there still, but he hasn't put up remarkable point totals in his last couple seasons.

This is HF, where homerism and playoffs are the only things to take into account.

I know Dougthy's numbers took a dip this season but come on...he's gotta be the next name on that list

Vankiller Whale 11-15-2012 07:39 PM

Boyle pretty easily.

Zoidberg Jesus 11-15-2012 07:54 PM

I can see Boyle or Campbell here, but I don't get Doughty. This isn't about potential, and Doughty's not on their level right now.

TheJuxtaposer 11-15-2012 07:56 PM

Dan Boyle.

Why? Because he won the Cup?

Boyle has consistently put up great numbers in the regular season and the playoffs, and he is arguably the best PPQB in the league.

Avs44 11-15-2012 09:38 PM

Boyle

The Note 11-15-2012 11:28 PM

Boyle again

BigZKingK 11-15-2012 11:53 PM

It's like you read what I typed and deleted before I posted.

For poops and grins, I looked up the combined number of seasons where Karlsson, Letang, Green and Byfuglien have scored 50 or more points, which is 7. Dan Boyle has 6. I do not think most people appreciate how good and how consistent he has been offensively.

With the Sharks, Boyle has 36 points in 44 playoff games over 4 seasons. Somebody may correct me on this, but I don't think it gets better than that in the current NHL.

Wow....That's an impressive stat. Especially when you factor in greater quality of competition in the playoffs vs regular season.

No, Mike Green is. It says so right there in the first post.

I know he had a damn good season with Florida last year, but Boyle is much better than Campbell.

Drew Doughty produces at a similar rate in the post-season. ;)
The answer is still Boyle though.

I Hate Chris Butler 11-16-2012 04:44 AM

Voted Chara and completely missed Boyle.

Habs 4 Life 11-16-2012 07:48 AM

Drew Doughty
