I'll be watching my two favorite AHL teams on the radio. :) Go Brunarchs!!
|
...
Our old friend Bodnarchuk is leading the Monarchs in +/-. Nice. |
Anyone able to find a stream?
|
I bet Bods gets two assists tonight.
|
Goal Provi!! @ 1:18 Ray's kid scores

Bourque with an early one, Bs up 1-0.
Camper gets a PPG, Bs up 2-0 quickly. Monarchs have Peter Menino in goal and Providence is all over him. MacD vs. Johnson...MacD is prepared for Johnson and fights lefty vs. lefty...Johnson lands a few more punches but nothing damaging as both guys swing wildly. Still 2-0 late in the first. Lots of big hits so far. Svedberg looks good. Robins vs. King...Robins does fine against the bigger fighter. Draw. Bartkowski takes a penalty on a late hit/trip. 2-0 end of the first. Still 2-0 in the second. Bourque gets a penalty for a nonsense boarding call. Bruins playing sloppy defense and allow a 2 on 1. Cliche gets one thru the five hole. 2-1 now. Monarchs tie it up 2-2. They are outplaying the Bs big time this period. Bs took their foot off the pedal and have allowed Manchester back in the game. Bruins get another one, as Tardif gets his 4th of the year. But that play was ALL Spooner. Some wide open hockey in the third leads to a Monarchs breakaway, but Svedberg stops the puck and keeps it 3-2. The young line of Florek-MacKinnon-Hirchfeld is playing well together, keeping things simple and safe tonight. Pbees hold on for a 3-2 win. |
pp goal Provi 2-0

I need Loktionov to score the 1st Monarchs goal. I get a free autographed poster if he does. :)

B's win 3-2 !!

Max Sauve, who left practice yesterday with a concussion, won't play this weekend. It's the second time in two years that Sauve has suffered a concussion in practice.
Jared Knight (hamstring) and Trent Whitfield (upper body) remain out. Healthy scratches are Colby Cohen and Ryan Button. from earlier today |
Spooner undressed everyone on the GW. Unreal play.

Spooner is really coming along- when he gets to the NHL he could be a monster on the power play; he imo was the best player on the ice last night- (more later my dog wants to head to park and could care less about HF)
also, the found out what the specific injury is with Knight and the good news is he should be fine and why he has been out- bad news is its a month BUT he's 20 years old and should be fine. He should be doing jumping jacks though if he is watching his buddy Spooner play in the AHL. Spooner is getting it- in one month his game has blossomed to the point where defensively he is making great improvements; Claude's power play will be in the top 10 when he gets to Boston and takes over that side board stuff- think Savard on steriods- that is how quick and smart/hockey sense Spooner has. |
