Yashin will play for Yaroslavl, Frolov for Dynamo

Alexei Yashin signed a deal with Lokimotiv Yaroslavl, but it's not sure when he'll start playing because there are still some little problems with his insurance.

Alexander Frolov will resume his career with Dynamo Moscow.

GREAT!!! :yo:
Now rusiia will have a great line - up in the world championship.

Perhaps:
ZHERDEV-YASHIN-KOVALEV

Can't believe they found insurance for Yashin and that really sucks for CSKA that Frolov is gone. :shakehead

good to see him getting back to the motherland...i was starting to wonder where/what his lockout training regiment consisted of (besides Carol Alt!)

we might see Yashin centering Antipov and But; or perhaps:

Schastlivy Yashin Kovalenko

the possible line combinations are intriguing.

Kovalenko plays for Avangard Omsk, not Yaroslavl (anymore)
;)

I second that, but at least Frolov is sure to play in the playoffs ... CSKA is 7 points out of a playoff sport right now.

MOGiLNY 02-14-2005 02:26 PM

7 points isn't much considering they get 3 points for a win.. I'm really disappointed that Frolov left CSKA, but oh well

Yeah I know ... CSKA was my favorite team this season, I'm really disappointed he had to leave.

MOGiLNY 02-14-2005 06:54 PM

CSKA's been my favourite team since mid 90's..

Will Yashin signing remove Mikhnov from the lineup, for Yaroslavl, or will he still play?

Or is he even playing regularly now?

CSKA is my favorite team since 80-s... KLM line best years.. I was a little boy at this time... But I still remember...

As about Frolov move. I'm afraid that means that CSKA gave up. :shakehead

In the 80's I was a Khimik fan, but I was like 5-6 and didn't really follow hockey.. :)

Is that you on the picture with Lecavalier?

And I totally agree about Frolov.. it's such a disgrace that they've given up when all it takes is 3 wins to get back into the 8th spot. Bykov may say that they are still fighting, but when you give away your best player, it doesn't matter what they say any more.

Do you guys know the reason Frolov got moved???

TWS 02-15-2005 12:30 AM

Wait...so Frolov will be playing for Dynamo starting this season or next? And does this mean that IF the NHL were to resume he would have no clause to go back?

he'll finish this season with Dynamo..

don't know what will happen if the NHL comes back, but you shouldn't worry about that..

A Sport Express editorial calls it "CSKA's flag of truce". Says that the decsion was made after a six-hour meeting, and officials refused to comment.
