Top-4 right D (or lefty who can play right) to MIN

A more offensive defenseman to complement Suter's defensive play would be good. Think Shea Weber's playing style.

Matt Carle would have been nice, I'm kind of mad at Fletcher for not signing him.

Flame away.
---------------
Bouchard for Tallinder?

Not sure if Lamiorello still talks to Fletcher though.
---------------------------------------------------------
Don't we have 17 million in cap space right now?

Henrik Tallinder? Not offensive but all-around guy. Minnesota has a lot of question marks with younger guys, Tallinder could be a nice reliable addition to the second pairing. Devils would be looking for forward players, preferably already in the NHL, or possibly those close to being an a solid NHL player. (Comparable being D'Agostini)

Generic User 11-22-2012 08:20 PM

Why would you be mad at Fletcher for not signing him? Suter at $7.5 is way better than Carle at $5.5, even with the terms considered. It was either Suter and Parise or Carle.

Tallinder for Parise?

I'll take Henrique, Zajac, Kovalchuk, Larsson, and your next five first round picks for Parise.

In other words, no.

Does not compute.

It's just a suggestion. I'm not that interested in Tallinder, but he'd work on second pairing with Spurgeon.

Setoguchi for Burns

oh wait

He isnt close to worth that but ok. Kovy or Larsson alone is too much

That's actually a good idea.

Setoguchi, Zucker, Bulmer, 2013 2nd and 2014 2nd

for

Burns + 3rd

Now, SJ gains slightly with Bulmer so they actually have incentive to do this trade.

Zippy316 11-23-2012 06:21 AM

Bouchard for Tallinder?

I might do that, depending on his health issues right now. But I guess they've both had health issues, I believe Bouchard's was concussion related, so I'm a bit leery for that reason.

TOGuy14 11-23-2012 08:49 AM

Something based around Liles for Clutterbuck?

FishManSam 11-23-2012 10:12 AM

Cody Franson plays a similar game to Weber, but obviously nowhere near as good, IMHO I still think he's a great player and never got his shot in Toronto. Him and Suter would be a good pairing and his value is probably "low".

I wouldn't call Franson a Top 4, but playing with Suter I think would elevate his game.

Yeah, we want to trade you Burns back without getting back the most valuable part of the deal.

Coyle and a 1st>>>Zucker, Bulmer, and two 2nds. Come on now.

Not to say Coyle and 1st isn't more valuable but it seems you don't know much about Zucker. He is very close to Coyle and some Wild fans would argue he is better than Coyle.

Those Wild fans would be homers to their own drafted prospects. I like Zucker, I really do, and I'd love to have a California kid, but he's not on Coyle's level.

nickschultzfan 11-23-2012 11:46 AM

OP, not sure you are thinking through your potential trades. Bouchard is still having concussion problems.

Wild may move Clutterbuck + Prosser/Cuma for a #4/#5 Dman, but don't expect much. With the shorten season (if it does happen), I can see the Wild just wanting to get their team playing and melding together.

It was a joke, and I'm assuming yours was too

Would Tallinder for Clutterbuck be something to work around ?

Clutterbuck-Josefson-Clarkson 3rd line would be awesome

WildcatMapleLeafs28 11-23-2012 12:40 PM

Tallinder is a solid stay at home dman but some of the returns being asked for him are wayy too much.

There are some unrealistic expectations, but basically all the Devils need is a 2nd/3rd line tweener who is underperforming and/or looking for a change of scenery. That's where the bar should be set.

Names like D'Agostini (Stl), Luke Adam (Buf) and this current proposal for Bouchard all seem right in the targeted area.

I'd be interested in Franson or Bogosian. Something around Zach Phillips + for one of them.

I would never ever trade Kovalchuk for Parise to begin with, let alone all those other pieces.

Franson and Bogosian are on two entirely different levels.

Jets won't even listen to an offer of Zach Phillips + for Bogo, and understandably so. He is a fan favourite and finally molding into what his draft day prediction was. Probably the most untouchable on that team IMO.

I may be an Oilers fan, but I've lived around the Peg my entire life so I know what the feeling around the fan base is for the most part.

frankthetank91 11-23-2012 04:39 PM

Has there been a player more offered in trade proposals this year than Tallinder?
