2012 Brazilian Grand Prix

Still time left but there might be a lot of rain in Interlagos saturday and sunday, even too much for Charlie Waiting's liking

Even more than in 2003?

vsk92 11-22-2012 06:12 AM

Sauber will name its second driver for 2013 at this weekend's Brazilian Grand Prix.

Just discovered that there are other F1 fans on the forum I had an amazing suite (Not paid for by myself) for the COTA race. Absolutely fantastic circuit! Can't wait to get my car out on the track!

Lotus F1 Team ‏@Lotus_F1Team
Looks pretty certain that #Kimi's engine reached the end of its life in the limelight. Loss of oil pressure in the data gives the game away

:(

Is there a penalty for engine changes, just like gearbox?

Sanderson 11-24-2012 07:57 AM

No, you can change the engine, provided you do it before qualifying and you have enough engines left (8 for the whole year). The engine you use in qualifying has to be used in the race.

Qualifying starts :D

The track is very slippery Kovalainen almost went off already

Feel free to post the Q2 or Q3 times. :D I'm at work and the tracker application doesn't want to open.

vsk92 11-24-2012 10:22 AM

Grosjean goes out in the Q1 :amazed:
Also Petrov, Glock, Kovalainen, Pic, Koyabashi, Karthikeyan, De La Rosa

Kovalainen being interviewed there - "It may not be my last Quali for Caterham, it may as well be my last ever Quali in Formula 1" :(

Vasilevski 11-24-2012 10:44 AM

Mclaren clearly ahead, Vettel a little disappointing, but even worse for Alonso.

Well Massa will probably take a penalty again so alonso 7th

Nah, we're above that :sarcasm:

Problem is Webber would be behind Alonso if he surrendered 5 spots.

Massa just said in an interview that there's no way the same as last weekend would happen, so I guess they plan him to drive into Vettel's car at the start, or even in the warm-up lap :sarcasm:

Everlong 11-24-2012 11:42 AM

I'm not sure if I missed it or what but has Schumi come out and said that he won't be returning to Formula1? I'm sure we all know the answer but just wondering if he made it official.

No point in taking a penalty, Massa actually has a good chance of overtaking Vettel at the start... or crash him :laugh::laugh:

Still expecting rain for tomorrow, not a lot but at least rain

Schalkenullvier* 11-24-2012 02:25 PM

ugh, maldonado Set back 10 Spots so alonso Starts 7th and on the good side... Could be right in vettels neck after the Start

He has his car set up for rain whilst those at the top don't. Advantage for him.

I know it's common knowledge who's better in the rain, but where did you read which drivers are set up for rain?

Schalkenullvier* 11-24-2012 09:42 PM

Alonso is not a better rain driver than Vettel.
