best of luck Josh.

that's sad. Hopefully it doesn't harm his career

Moved to a new around the league thread since the last one was almost at 1000.

Mr Forever 11-28-2012 11:41 PM

Wow, how awful for Harding and the Wild... I hope he can pull through.

The Head Crusher 11-29-2012 12:23 AM

Terrible news for Harding

Reimer 11-29-2012 11:31 AM

Wow crazy, hopefully Josh can battle through it.

I still don't know what the heck MS is all about. Know someone that's had it for 5 years and seems normal, yet others not so much.

Groucho 11-29-2012 11:52 AM

It affects people differently, but its basically a disorder that hampers nerve performance

Can't believe NHL would make an announcement like this on B.Burke's 4th anniversary as Leafs GM. Talk about a parade stopper.

Was a little weird considering Josh has know for a little while now about the MS. But in reality who cares about Burkes 4 year anniversay? haha

Reimer 11-30-2012 09:45 AM

I haven't paid full attention to the segments on the radi0o lately but Nielson has been talking about Burke. Is something happening with him in TO or are they just talking about him because he's been there for 4 years and hasn't done squat?

Burke seems to sit in on the odd meeting here and there, not sure why we need to know that everytime.

So.... John Shannon just compared Jake Gardiner to Paul Coffey on Sportsnet.

Yep.

Yep.

One of the few positives of the lockout is not having to listen to that clown run his mouth during SNW Oilers games intermissions.

joestevens29 12-14-2012 10:30 AM

Sounds like Kesler is several months away from recovery. Surgeries were a success, just recovery time is now longer because the shoulder and wrist that were operated on are on the same side.

HFOil's Out Of Town Thread(or General NHL discussion)

So I thought we could get this thread going to talk about other teams in the NHL.

Isles season isn't off to a good start.

http://www.hcslovan.sk/sk/spravy/vis...ou-od-slovanu/

Visnovsky is apparently trying to stay in the KHL. Man that team can't catch a break.

EDIT: Missed the old one so I'll merge with that.

AlanHUK 01-06-2013 03:48 PM

Next season the Canucks will have just over 8 million in cap space to sign 8 players.

One of those is Alex Edler who should be able to ask for around 4m considering what the other D in Vancouver are making.

Buyout options for them would be Ballard 4.2m and/or Luongo 5.3m if no one trades for him.

Does this lower their trade value significantly?

Man. Visnovsky is an ass. He pisses and moans about the cold and the snow in Edmonton (on top of the losing) but a few years later he decides that he'd rather play in Russia over playing with the Islanders? Really??

Ya the ducks are great at having dinks on their team at one time or another.

Makes stealing Schultz that much better.

I think Ballard's getting bought out. I can't see a team taking him on with that inflated cap hit

I'd sign Ballard on a short term contract. Maybe 3 mil a season over two years?

when did he piss and moan about Edmonton? I know a few posters who did not like him posted that about him. but do you have any links from actual media complaining about him

Ballard is garbage. That is the type of player we need to be done with if we are going to win anything.
