Hockey in other countries
Hey guys, I was wondeirng something today, we all know how good the NHL, AHL, KHL and those type of leagues are. But how about the AIHL (Australian league) and other such "semi pro" leagues. What type of skill level do you think is comparable from what we are used to in North America to those type of leagues?

Paul Bissonnette has 20 points in 9 games over in the EIHL (ELITE Ice Hockey League) which is the highest level of ice hockey in the UK.

ask this question in the international section?

With the AIHL it's hard to compare because the skill level is so variable and sucess of the teams is pretty much dependent the import players. I do know that a few CHL players have played in the AIHL in their offseason and cleaned up scorewise.
