Anyone else not wearing their NHL gear due to the lockout?

T-shirts, hats, and jerseys.

I don't know, I'm so mad at everyone involved over this lockout. The only hockey I get to see is my GM Connected league. It makes me angry and its not really a protest, but i feel like the NHL doesn't deserve to be represented in the public by me anymore.

Vikke 12-03-2012 07:47 AM

I haven't worn anything, except for the Flyers winter classic beanie last winter when I was out running, since I was a kid. So, still not wearing anything.

Legionnaire11 12-03-2012 07:54 AM

trying not to, it's hard since 75% of my wardrobe is comprised of t-shirts and hats that were giveaways at games lol

ZARTONK 12-03-2012 08:09 AM

No, I still wear everything, the lockout doesn't magically stop me from being a fan of the game and of my team.

Bubba Thudd 12-03-2012 08:10 AM

I'm still a fan, but I'm not advertising for them. No gear worn, nothing NHL being purchased for Christmas or otherwise.

Acallabeth 12-03-2012 08:12 AM

I only have Panters hat (don't ask me why), and my little brother took it away from me. So I wear my ushanka instead => yeah, I'm with the thread starter.

LickTheEnvelope 12-03-2012 08:13 AM

Haven't been wearing jerseys.

This.

Ozz 12-03-2012 08:25 AM

I still wear hats and shirts like always. And I hear Bettman and the gang have noticed and therefore will not end the lockout because they know I still care. Sorry about that.

optimus2861 12-03-2012 08:41 AM

I still wear my Canadiens hats but not every day. No t-shirts nor jerseys.

xX Hot Fuss 12-03-2012 08:42 AM

I said its not a protest pal. I'm not expecting people to look at me and say "Wow he's NOT wearing his Hawks gear? He must be protesting the lockout!"

I'm not expecting Bettman and/or Fehr to read this and think "Wow he's NOT wearing his Hawks gear? He must be protesting the lockout! We should end this lockout right now actually. Thank you Hot Fuss for bringing this to our attention. We didn't realize how bad this lockout was until we saw you not wearing your Hawks hat. Thank you so much! LOCKOUT OVER everybody! Fuss just showed us we were wrong! Sorry for wasting your time."

The NHL doesn't deserve my public support until this nonsense lockout is over with IMHO, simple as that.

I still wear my Devils scarf. I won't spend one dollar on the team. Devils players are doing signings around here... and unless they announce that proceeds go to Hurricane Sandy victims (which they aren't) I am not thrilled about giving them my money... so no thanks.

Kronwalled55 12-03-2012 08:54 AM

Nah, I've worn my Howard t-shirt a few times, my zip-up Wings hoodie, and my front license plate has the Wings on it too. Definitely not purchasing anything though.

FlyingKostitsyn 12-03-2012 08:56 AM

Well I put on my old and battered Cammalleri tshirt when doing dirty manual work, if that counts.

Thordic 12-03-2012 09:06 AM

Hats, yes, although not as often.

Jerseys, hell no.

dr robbie 12-03-2012 09:09 AM

I try to wear more vintage (Lemieux, 90's jerseys) and avoid current players or styles of jerseys.

11Goat11 12-03-2012 09:33 AM

I haven't worn anything with NHL logos on it since the lockout and I have lots. I miss my favorite Habs draft hat but I just feel wrong wearing anything until this gets sorted out. Still a fan and will flock back but this is my own mini protest.

Inkling 12-03-2012 09:41 AM

Don't wear stuff that often other than at games, but I'm avoiding it in general. I still drink coffee and tea out of my All-Star Game and Heritage Classic mugs...but I do that in the privacy of my own home. :)

I'm more conscious about not buying new stuff, rather than how I use the existing stuff I already have.

JAMmer124 12-03-2012 09:44 AM

Only NHL thing I have on is a Thrashers flag I got for free a couple weeks ago at work that's currently on my car.

Much rather support the Cowboys and Blue Jays

Nick0930 12-03-2012 10:00 AM

I still my my Brodeur shirt when I play poker. It's lucky.

tbcwpg 12-03-2012 10:08 AM

Only wore jerseys to games, so no there, but my Jets hoodie is too comfortable not to wear now that it's getting colder.

Jopsey 12-03-2012 10:12 AM

I still wear my Wild hoodie because its cold and I don't have that many sweatshirts. But I won't be wearing my jersey anytime soon.

Casper 12-03-2012 10:14 AM

it almost embarrasing to wear NHL gear at this point...

Yep. I have a Devils polo that occasionally makes its way out into public usage.

I always get some doofus asking, "how's that hockey season going? OH RIGHT."

OneMoreAstronaut 12-03-2012 10:33 AM

Haven't worn anything NHL related since last season.
