Hockey Boot Stretching

I've googled a bit about stretching the hockey boot as much as a 1/2 size - after they've been worn in and you still need just a little bit more for comfort. Has anyone done this and are there any shops you can recommend that will accept mail-in orders? Thanks.

You can check around and see if a local shoe shop has a stretcher, they might be able to do it for you.

Yes, you can get a 1/2 size bigger with a stretch, but it will sort of change the shape of the heel. You might have to bake them afterwards to get everything back to the way you like it. What kind of skates are you in? Any chance you are in a Bauer that has the wings on the footbed? If so, you can cut those off and gain a 1/4 size.
