He's untouchable. Sorry.

Stephen Johns was a 2nd round pick of Chicago in 2010. He's a monster (6'4", 220lbs+) and has an elite physical game. Was on USA's world junior team last year aswell, though a disappointing showing for that team overall.

As Sevanston already said, he's basically untouchable. He's extactly the kind of Dman Chicago needs and he likely isn't too far away from the NHL, though he'll need some AHL seasoning for sure.

Obviously he's far from untouchable, but he is a nice prospect. I don't see the Hawks eager to get rid of him, but if the right package comes for a #2 center or something and the other team wanted him as a throw in....

Mayfield, Reinhart,Pedan and Pelech are 6'2 - 6'4. Isles imo will let their own top kids develop.

They love Cizikas' work ethic and energy and Cal De Haan's continued shoulder injuries, make pmds Pokka/Donovan key youngsters.

I don't think Hawks fans are saying he's untouchable because he's some super amazing prospect, but more from the angle that he's the only d-man of his kind in our system right now, and if he turns out well the things he brings would be very valuable to the team. It's more of a 'We want to wait and see how he looks' angle , IMO

I think he was a 2010 pick. Big dman like Tinordi, Merrill, Johns, etc.

My untouchable joke clearly needed a sarcasm tag. Laid it on too thick, I guess.

He's not untouchable in any way. But he's easily the most promising physical defenseman in the Hawks' farm system, and that role is the biggest weakness of said farm system so there's not much reason to trade him without overpayment.

And, no offense to the guy, but who would overpay for Stephen Johns?
