MM is far too green to be fighting a guy who has more fights than Matt has NFL football games.

He is an athlete though and seems to improve in large leaps, so he could pull it off, I guess. I think it's more likely that big country complete dominates him. I can't think of a single area where mitrione would have the advantage.

I am interested in how Poirier looks. I've always felt him to be a bit overrated and he won't be able to offer anything on the ground for Brookins. He could tag him standing if Brookins hasn't improved his atrocious head movement though.

Is Sportsnet not showing this live because it's on FX Canada? I don't see it listed at all on Sportsnet West.

Yea doesn't look like Sportsnet is showing the main card live, although it appears the pre-lims will be shown live. Earliest I've seen the main card is 9pt on Sportsnet Ontario.

If memory serves this was the heaviest Mitrione's ever weighed in. If he doesn't finish Roy early (which is unlikely), I have a feeling we may see a crucifix again.

Don't underestimate Roy's counter punching ability. Mitrione is going to come out wild like he always does with the unorthodox kicks and awkward throws. I could see Roy getting underneath one of those and coming over the top like he did against Struve. Mitrione certainly doesn't want to go to the ground with Roy and Roy won't take it there.
