Which prospects would be in the NHL right now?

Might as well precise: Those who were almost locks to make their team.

I'm thinking guys like Dougie Hamilton and Jonathan Huberdeau.

TMLife 12-20-2012 10:41 PM

potentially scheifele, rielly, strome, jenner

Johnny McBravo 12-20-2012 10:45 PM

Yakupov, Schultz

Billy Mays Here* 12-20-2012 11:15 PM

For the Wild, likely just Granlund. Don't think they would stick Brodin into the line-up right away, probably give him a year in Houston to develop even if there was a season.

capitalsrock 12-20-2012 11:17 PM

Tarasenko

Haatley 12-20-2012 11:32 PM

Baertschi

Just out of the CHL, Murray if he weren't injured. Reinhart possibly. Obviously Hubs and Hamilton. Strome's a maybe.

HanSolo 12-21-2012 01:07 AM

Peter Holland and Kyle Palmieri. If Toni Lydman hasn't been able to recover I think Hampus Lindholm might have a shot the way he's been playing.

MattyMo35 12-21-2012 01:12 AM

Tarasenko's a lock.

BoxOfChocolates 12-21-2012 01:19 AM

Sgarbossa probably would've been called up by now.

El Diego 12-21-2012 01:32 AM

Silfverberg for the Sens. Zibanejad would have probably started with them but I bet he'd be in the AHL a lot.

Kshahdoo 12-21-2012 07:02 AM

I think Tarasenko could be the lead scorer for Blues...

Stamkos Intolerant 12-21-2012 07:21 AM

Conacher or Connolly would be called up right now for the Lightning.

Even if he was ready (I think he is)?

Just two guys?

Yakupov
Hamilton
Tarasenko
Huberdeau
Schwartz
Kadri
Kreider
Murray
Strome

There's lots that would have a chance. But it's hard to tell what teams will make the space.

GoAwayDanCleary 12-21-2012 11:35 AM

Smith, Nyquist, maybe Tatar

Bennett Brauer 12-21-2012 11:38 AM

Simon Despres would have made the NHL this year.

Maybe Beau Bennett but I doubt it.

1972 12-21-2012 11:57 AM

Yakupov
Hamilton
Tarasenko
Huberdeau
Schwartz
Kadri
Kreider
Murray
Strome
Baerschi

Exit Dose 12-21-2012 01:09 PM

Peter Holland

Bryanbryoil 12-21-2012 01:30 PM

3 from the Oilers. The obvious Yakupov and Schultz but also Teemu Hartikainen.

DaveG 12-21-2012 01:36 PM

from the Canes:

Jeremy Welsh
Drayson Bowman
one of Sanguinetti and Murphy
possibly one of Zach Boychuk, Zac Dalpe, or Victor Rask

Lehner and maybe weircoch also

SLAPSHOT723 12-21-2012 03:19 PM

Strome would not have made it.

Howboutthempanthers 12-21-2012 04:50 PM

Probably Drew Shore( along with the obvious, Huberdeau). The Panthers have had injuries to their forward core and he has been playing well. Even if they hadn't had as many injuries he still would have probably been given a shot because of his play in the AHL and the fact that Versteeg was going to out for a little while no matter what.

Schwatz im not so sure on, he would have had to have earned a spot in training camp and most of us Blues fans had him pegged to start the season in Peoria and be the first injury call up.
