Would like to see MacKinnon in Lipon's spot, I thought he had a great game against the fins and deserved more ice time, he's relentless on the forecheck and with him and Jenner working the puck out to Rattie who has a great release, they could be dangerous every shift

Nash 12-21-2012 12:52 PM

McNeill is on your Canadian roster instead of Hudon?

Hudon is out with a back injury, McNeill got the call

Wow this is news to me but McNeil will add some
Help for the pk. Danault and McNeil will do well defensively

Poor kid. He plays his heart out every shift. Probably one of the best energy type players Canada would have this year. We will definitely miss him. The only positive is that he was being miscast in the media as a top six forward and with him gone, that opens up space for MacKinnon who is worthy of playing more than a fourth line role. MacNeill was on the bubble with Camara and Lipon, so it gives us one more big body role player, which we might have been lacking.

They still have MacKinnon on the 4th :help:. I'm glad they split up Hamilton and Rielly, those D pairings look much more cohesive.

I'm not too worried about Nathan starting in that spot. If he keeps playing like he did yesterday, he'll play his way up to a bigger role. I don't mind seeing him gain the spot through effort. As long as he doesn't get the Connolly treatment :help:

Very glad the top pairing was split as well. It was a mismatch to start with. If Reinhart is comfortable on the right side, I wouldn't mind him stepping up to play with Rielly as well. He's been really solid and Oulette might need a little less time on the ice as he recovers from the high ankle sprain. He looked awful rusty out there yesterday. Then again, most did.

Mac will move up. Lines are never in stone.
Drouin - Strome - Mac ....by the middle of the 1st.

40oz 12-21-2012 03:25 PM

What are the chances Dansk starts the tournament as the number one goalie?

Though I know you really want to see MacKinnon and Drouin play together for their chemistry, it really doesn't make sense to split up Strome and Ritchie. It will work for Saturday's game though, as Ritchie is currently listed as a game time decision but probably sits to rest his injury from the last outing.

I keep hearing that he's the odd man out. Guess we'll see.

That is fair enough.
Forgot about the Chem. Between the two.

Wouldn't mind a Drouin - Jenner - MacKinnon line either.

Would Rattie settle into the 2nd line? playing style mesh?

Canada4Gold 12-21-2012 04:06 PM

So Hudon is out for the tournament?

When did this happen? Practice today? He was fine in the game yesterday

Makes sense, he is the young'n in the group.

sg58 12-21-2012 04:39 PM

Lassinantti will start.

vippe 12-21-2012 04:52 PM

Crapper, will miss the first half of the game.. silly work. If there is a stream availible that is...

Killahpunk 12-21-2012 05:07 PM

Is Sweden expected to dress a strong team?

Not that it should matter since the Finns didn't dress all their best players and they still won.:help:

bigbadbruins7 12-21-2012 05:15 PM

anyone know if Mcneil will be in this game? i seriously doubt it but i am sure they flew him over right away and want to get him in some game action ASAP

Only have the ability to scratch two players, so two fws will sit. Don't know who yet, they had the day off today and didn't run lines. Lindholm has been injured so may sit again. Görtz as well.

That's assuming they'll roll all 8D.

Lassinantti will start in goal and is playing for the starter's job.

Shrimper 12-21-2012 05:46 PM

On just before the football but that suits me. Should get a good hour uninterrupted.

jigsaw99 12-21-2012 06:41 PM

i really want to see them put MacKinnon on the 2nd line.

Primetimey 12-21-2012 08:45 PM

Ritchie probably won't play tomorrow, so I wouldn't be surprised to see MacKinnon on the second line.

This ought to be the battle of the ages. Tea (Lipton) vs Juice (Djuse/Djoos).

I think it's obvious that on the flavor level, juice completely dominates. Therefore I must declare Canada the underdog.

I laughed out loud at that one. That was funny!
