Not strong enough to do dead lifts. I'm only 145 pounds, so I'd need to start with just the bar :shakehead

When I started lifting at like 6'0 150lbs I could do 25lbs on each side for reps and at least twice with a plate on each. You probably can.

Don't be making excuses

I think this will be one of those years where I actually make a resolution instead of just laughing it off.

Gonna start hitting the gym more, definitely.

I've seen a 4 year old girl deadlift an Olympic bar off the ground. Are you no stronger than a 4 year old girl?

Augscura 12-25-2012 11:17 AM

Merry christmas everyone. Eat well ;)

Look at it as a lifestyle change, then, and not some fad diet type of outlook.

WhipNash27 12-25-2012 11:49 AM

Man, I've gained like 3 pounds over the past week. Not good.

I'm feeling the exact same way as you this year! But I got myself a bike trainer for myself for Christmas, so starting January, my husband and I are working out! Getting into a routine for once in my life!

It's the worst. Been around kids lately, get sick every time. Buckets of disease.

awfulwaffle 12-25-2012 02:22 PM

Just hit the elliptical for 45 minutes, then hit the weights for upper body. I feel good today.

Justified 12-25-2012 03:14 PM

This 6 month diet of mine of not eating junk food is over due to Christmas, but im down 35 pounds so Im happy.

blue425 12-25-2012 06:28 PM

Yeah for real.

I lifted all my usual restrictions for the last two days. First I felt a tad guilty, but then I realized I'm not going to un do ten months of work in two days.

Fire Lindy 12-25-2012 07:36 PM

Actually lost weight (I'm bulking) since I was at the families place for a few days and didn't eat my usual meals, even though I had some huge meals, pigged out on some cookies, and had a lot of beer.

Unaffiliated 12-25-2012 07:39 PM

Everyone prepare yourselves for your gym being packed with people doing all the exercises wrong and leaving weights lying around everywhere ;)
