Have a feeling this is going to be a close game. Czech's beat Sweden 4-3 with goals be Frk, Jaskin, Faksa (2).
Sweden goals by Forsberg and Rakell (2).

BalticWarrior 12-25-2012 10:05 AM

Sweden takes this 5:3

czechcanadian 12-25-2012 10:12 AM

This is gonna be a close game for sure. Really tough to say whos gonna win this one. im gonna predict it goes to overtime but not sure who takes it... lets hope its the czechs haha

Hoping Jakub Vrana sees a lot of time! This kid is goooood

B Boarding 12-25-2012 10:17 AM

Seems weird having Wennberg on 4th line. I'd much rather have him on the 2nd line over both Molin and Collberg.

InjuredChoker 12-25-2012 10:42 AM

Sweden having really tough luck if Lindholm is out, too.

romao 12-25-2012 10:56 AM

Capacity of the Sports Palace is slightly greater than 4000.
Wikipedia says it's 4200 and HC Tolpar official site gives the number 4043.

ficohok* 12-25-2012 11:17 AM

I'll go for upset here...4:3so win for Czechs !

bigbadbruins7 12-25-2012 11:19 AM

has it been stated that lundstrom will start or is that just a guess in the starting line ups?

Jim Morrison 12-25-2012 11:22 AM

This tournament is already lost. Will still watch but with zero hopes. Defense wins tournaments, not offense. And our D is waaaaay too inexperienced.

This game is a guaranteed loss.

Vikke 12-25-2012 11:31 AM

6-1 Sweden.

Agreed. I think Wennberg should get 2nd line time. But it's also a good sign, we have great forward depth..

I'm not as optimistic as I was a few weeks ago but I'm not as pessimistic about our chances in this tournament as Jim Morrison is

I think we can compete with everyone even though we are the underdogs against 3-4 opponents.

Klown 12-25-2012 11:54 AM

How come there's nothing in the media on Lindholms injury? Where does this information come from?

Ah, the good ol' "feel sorry for ourselves so that when we win we can act like it was an upset".

Honestly though, I doubt the team will get a largely different result against the czechs with or without Hampus.

Sweden for the win, 5-1.

We're missing our four best players due to injury. Our three best defensemen! If we win it's a MAJOR upset. This team is finishing 4th at best. Sorry if this makes you sad.

So you mean that the remaining line-up, player by player, is worse than the czech team?

On top of that, a swedish game plan and style of play that wouldn't cope with the czechs?

I don't know how good/bad the other team is, but I think we still have plenty of talent that should be able to win this opening game. Call me optimistic or just stupid. In general swedish posters on HFBoards are way too pessimistic and passive. That's just plain boring.

I thought you meant that it would not be an upset if we won the tournament. Not just this game against the Czech. Phew, you had me worried for a second there.

Last year your team had Elitserien defense, now only Allsvenskan defense. See the difference?

I really like the Swedish team, but they are not gold medal contenders this year.

Nash 12-25-2012 02:14 PM

This could be the first upset game in the tournament. It's really too bad Sweden has so many injured players. However, this Czech squad would have been a threat to upset them even if they were all playing. I like the Czech forward depth this year. Musil will have to be a beast again this year.

Huffman 12-25-2012 02:57 PM

I can't see the Czechs winning this, despite the injuries on the Swedish team.

So what you're saying is really that "In general swedish posters on HFBoards are way too swedish."
