NBA Regular Season Thread III

Resume when other one is completed

Got my Tim Hortons coffee here, ready to watch Raps get destroyed by the Spurs. As long as the defensive effort they've shown on this 5 game winning streak is here tonight, should be entertaining.

Also, looks like BC might be looking to package of Lowry with some other pieces. Wouldn't be surprised, the team under BC has been musical chairs for the most part.

**** the Fakers

Hopefully someone can step in and stop him or fire him before he does something stupid like that. Lowry is the type of leader and point guard they've been searching for and they just traded a high pick to get him. Calderon is playing well right now but Lowry is the better player and he's only 26 years old. IMO, trading him would be a huge mistake.

Nash is the best PG I've seen in a Laker uniform the last 21 years post-Magic. So smooth, good enough to make anyone fall in love with him in just a few games of watching.

D12 flagrant 2 on faried

Vamos Rafa 12-26-2012 09:58 PM

Nuggets win 96-87! Nice.

Wait what? It's only the end of 3rd?

Deen 12-26-2012 09:58 PM

The Raptors simply can't pass the ball.

They need to work on those back court passes. Spurs caught a few of those. Did have some good D though. It's like they have parts, but still trying to get to the whole.

NY teams like winning in final seconds in PHX it seems

That Denver~Lakers game sounds like it was interesting. Nuggets win 126-114, Kobe with 40

Kershaw 12-26-2012 10:32 PM

The Knicks win.

This team is absolutely stacked in terms of depth. By far the deepest NYK team I've seen.

McSorleyStick 12-26-2012 10:33 PM

JR doing what he did to Charlotte in Phoenix

They are good but they are not good enough to go to the Finals

We will see.

I think only OKC is clear cut better than them this year. They have an MVP candidate with a ton of depth around.

OKC is gonna miss Harden in the playoffs

Clowe Me 12-26-2012 11:39 PM

Kings and Blazers end their season series already. 4 blowout wins, 2 by each team.

Cousins watched the game from the bench tonight.

I will reserve judgement on this depending on what they add, the Raptors should go after a guy like Cousins.

Clippers are better than both of them. One of San Antonio, LA Clippers, or Miami is going to win it all this year.

But Kevin Martin has fit in fine as a backup role. Probably gonna win 6th man of the year.

He has been good, but when the opponent's defense tightens up in the playoffs, it's nice to have a more versatile player, such as Harden

GordonGecko 12-27-2012 10:01 AM

Knicks won't smell the finals playing like this. They need to play like the first 10 games of the season, with an intensity on defense. If they can lock up the opposite end they can beat anybody, but if they slack off like this they won't get past the conference finals at best

I think CF is a legitimate goal.

GordonGecko 12-27-2012 12:38 PM

Avery Johnson just got fired

Woodson's stated goal was to win the division. I think that's right, and the season will be a failure if they don't make it past the first round. I would also consider it a big disappointment if they don't clear round 2
