Haven't been able to do a GDT this year with the lockout....so here's my only of the year most likely.

GO CANADA!

402 12-30-2012 06:40 AM

Great work, nice video :handclap:

I'm not going to like waking up early for the game but i will anyway
it should be a great game i think Canada wins it'll be tough though they are on the second half of a back to back

Hynh 12-30-2012 07:38 AM

Sorry Yak, I have to cheer for Canada. Do your best Darth Vader though!

Dorian2 12-30-2012 10:20 AM

I think Canadian voters will be voting for the proper team :D

Doesn't matter if Canada is as bad as Germany to me. I'd vote for Canada every time.

I'm really looking forward to this game. Yaks is trash Yakking Canada and the Nuge was defending team Canada's physical play the other day on an interview. It's setting up to be a fun game to watch.

The Big Unit 12-30-2012 02:30 PM

If Subban plays the way he did against the USA, Russia is in deep trouble. Canada needs to get its PP going though, this game is definitely going to be physical.......and maybe even dirty!

Fixed to Ruin 12-30-2012 02:39 PM

less Murphy more Rielly.

Canada needs to be better defensively, the Russians ooze skill and will capitalize on the defensive mistakes the US couldn't convert.

Subban needs to be a wall again. I think he will be, I was very impressed with his play today.

Cam98 12-30-2012 02:42 PM

such a horrible game vs usa. they were playing our style of hockey, aggressive, hitting everything, first one on loose pucks. They just couldn't score. If we don't fix our pp, and start playing our style of game against Russia, then i honestly see us losing. as Russia has the firepower to capitalize on their chances unlike USA

Patch101 12-30-2012 02:47 PM

I still don't like Subban, but obviously I'm cheering for Canada. Canada did a nice job of keeping the US team outside the slot area, and most
of the shots where low (which is great) The Russians have an equally skilled team though.

Psychoil 12-30-2012 02:48 PM

I'm so excited for this! Worst case is nail fights Nuge and they both get injured!

Honestly though, I'm so excited to see this game. These boys will be teammates soon enough and Nuge will be feeding nail one timers for a long time

syz 12-30-2012 02:49 PM

"I haven't seen him play live yet so I'm excited about that," Nugent-Hopkins said of the Russian earlier this week. "Obviously he's a special player and I look forward to playing with him in a couple of years."

Negotiations must be going horribly.

yup. couple years lockout be over. (that would destroy the game)

Bryanbryoil 12-30-2012 03:46 PM

6:30AM MDT start? That's 3:30 AM here, I guess I'll be sleeping earlier than the other games but waking up earlier as well.

Isn't it a 7:30 start in Edmonton? I thought it was 6:30 here

402 12-30-2012 04:05 PM

Here's the tournment schedule
http://www.tsn.ca/world_jrs/schedule/
All times are listed in Eastern time so the 9 am canada russia game would be 7 am Mountain and 6 am Pacific

But if you record the game, you can skip intermissions, commercials, and delays during the game. I can watch a game in about 1.5-2 hours. Plus I get a full nights rest :p

And you gotta wake up to hit the record button anyway. And to switch tapes if it goes into overtime.

An aside...I remember the day after our first Cup win. My town was completely silent. We reenacted the final game on the streets. And I got to record the replay of the game, which started at noon, on our 20 lb. brand new VHS machine. What a beauty day.

nullterm 12-30-2012 05:59 PM

Zharkov-RNH-Yakupov

Oilers could have a World Jrs first line outta this game.

worraps 12-30-2012 06:12 PM

This is pretty funny:

nullterm 12-30-2012 07:32 PM

That is pretty funny. You'd think it wouldn't be an issue most kids already growing up in Canada.
