dynastyREredux 12-30-2012 08:11 PM

Habs fan but I have to say Alfy

Benny FTW 12-30-2012 08:11 PM

Alfredsson AINEC.

ReginKarlssonLehner 12-30-2012 08:37 PM

Alfredsson AINECC. Koivu was amazing though, always respect that guy.

Kirk Muller 12-30-2012 09:30 PM

Really its impossible to know. For fans to respond to a leadership question with things like "its not even close" is idiotic unless you are talking someone like Avery. We as fans have ZERO clue what goes on in the lockerroom.

Benny FTW 12-30-2012 09:36 PM

Going by known information; Alfredsson AINEC.

Edit: Koivu was an amazing captain.

AINEC.

Saku was a great leader. Alfie is my captain. All that comes to mind when we mention these guys is "class".

Habs 4 Life 12-30-2012 10:53 PM

Love Saku but got to say Alfie

Sky04 12-31-2012 12:34 AM

Love both, gotta go with Alfredsson though.

Saku was great though.

inthewings 12-31-2012 12:39 AM

Evincar 12-31-2012 12:42 AM

Koivu AINEC

MessierII 12-31-2012 12:58 AM

Well that's not really fair to Saku because he was captaining the most prestigious hockey club in the world, while Alfie is the captain of a team that has zero history before him

Alfie wouldn't have been the face of the franchise in Montreal

If he was playing in his prime? Yeah, he would have been the face of the franchise during his time.

So any captain thats on a non-original-six team is a bad captain.

Ottawa has a ton of history, by the way.

Machinehead 12-31-2012 02:43 PM

I'm gonna go with Alfie, only because I have his rookie card :D

tony d 12-31-2012 03:22 PM

Alfredsson

He's just saying it's much harder for Koivu to be remembered when there's been a hundred of greats before him. Like it or not, if Alfredsson had captained Montreal, he wouldn't be as great. Relatively speaking of course.

HavlatMach9 12-31-2012 04:10 PM

This would be pretty close of Koivu had the same skills as Alfie. Alfie being better allowed him to make a bigger impact more easily.

I think without all the injuries Koivu would have been alot closer to Alfie.
