2013 Expectations/Thoughts/Etc.

New Year.... what are some of your thoughts/breakout stars/storylines/etc. that you think will happen in 2013?

The Shockmaster 12-31-2012 06:24 PM

I'm expecting Ryback to be at least a 4 time world champion by the end of the year.

M.C.G. 31 12-31-2012 06:31 PM

- I hope they don't rush breaking up The Shield. They have a VERY good thing going right now and are over as ****. When they do break up, all three will be successful.

- Dolph Ziggler should win and have a good run with the World Heavyweight Championship. He should turn face too. I think being with AJ and Big E Langston is going to hurt him more than benefit him. Ziggler doesn't demand presence when he's around those two, sadly.

- Brad Maddox needs to be pushed and given a real angle. He's great.

- Brock Lesnar should be re-signed to a new contract in 2013. He's a mega-draw for WWE.

- Antonio Cesaro will be a major player by the end of 2013.

- Biggest one, I think 2013 will have WWE lose money and go even lower in ratings post-WrestleMania, which will ultimately force Vince McMahon's hand to change the product completely and give it a solid direction. I'm not saying Attitude Era, but Ruthless Aggression Era-esque possibly. The talent is there.

If that guy is around sign me up for tuning in every week. I saw some of his matches this year and he just make **** look real. That guy is a monster.

M4TR1X 12-31-2012 06:56 PM

Ryback to hold either the WWE title or the world title by the end of the year at least 1 time.

CM Punk to rid Heyman and turn face.

Brock Lesnar to be booked in some more matches.

The Rock to make more appearances.

3MB to break up. (I believe I may want this the most)

The Shield to make a strong presence for the first half of the year.

Wade Barrett to have a go at the world title.

17futurecap 12-31-2012 07:06 PM

Kofi Kingston will win Smackdown MITB, cash in that night, and be given a chance to hold the title in the summer.

Tyson Kidd will become the first new Cruiser weight champ.

Vince McMahon will be behind the Shield.

Mister Wood 12-31-2012 08:06 PM

I'd love to see CM Punk and Brock Lesnar have a program. Hopefully Brock gets re-signed, and when he does, I hope Heyman turns on Punk after Punk drops the WWE Title to the Rock/John Cena. I'd love to see a Punk/Lesnar feud, having Punk and Heyman battle it out on the mic.

I also think that Ryback is going to become more of a Smackdown fixture, and will have a run at the World Heavyweight Championship, starting with winning the Rumble. I think that's where he belongs right now, and he could have some good feud with guys like Orton and perhaps Sheamus. In fact, I think maybe feuding with Ryback is something that could really work for Sheamus, as he'll be forced to ditch a lot of his silly John Cena-lite promo tactics.

I have no idea who I'd want to see win the MITB ladder matches at this point. Cesaro really has the impressive in-ring skills, so I think he'd be a great bet. Other than him? I truly wouldn't know.

I also would love to see guys like Tyson Kidd used more. I watched a Daniel Bryan interview praising Kidd's abilities, and I'd love to see him work a Title program, maybe with the Intercontinental Championship? After that? I think it's time to bring in Kassius Ohno.

AfroThunder396 12-31-2012 08:09 PM

-The Tag Team Division gets even better and becomes the highlight of the program

-Cesaro is going to rise MUCH faster than guys like Ziggler, Rhodes, and Barrett did

-Once Hell No breaks up, Bryan is going to be a big player in the WHC picture

-Cena and Ryback both get title runs in 2013, much to my chagrin

-Ziggler's title reign will be a huge hit and go over very well, but it will end prematurely because LOL Vince

-Lesnar becomes more than a "use as needed" guy when his contract is renewed, and gets several PPV appearances with the occasional Raw match

-Rhodes wins MitB

randy orton to turn heel.
company is going downhill in terms of ratings. triple h takes over. vinnie mac retires. shelton benjamin+mvp returns according to reports, add more veteran presence to the already "stale roster

OmniSens 01-01-2013 09:21 AM

Taker turns 21-0

Ziggler cashes in his MITB

Cena wins

Taker adds 20 more spikes on his entrance gear

Orton gets injured

Rodriguez adds 350 more o's to Albertooooooo

The 'what' chants will now be translate to 'quoi' on Canadian shows

Please make this one come true! I would clean the fungus from under his toes if that happened!

I can see this happening. Either Vince McMahon or HHH.

Maybe I did mean you. :)

M4TR1X 01-01-2013 04:01 PM

I hope they don't decide to expand The Shield in 2013.

Just keep at Dean, Seth, and Roman.

Axman 01-01-2013 04:07 PM

Kane & Daniel Bryan will be split up and Bryan will get a nice push.

I'd be completely okay if DB and Kane split up in Elimination Chamber with a first time ever EC Tag Team Match. Both members of the team would be in the pod. That would be pretty damn good. Maybe Kane accidentally causes the team to lose and they go at it at Wrestlemania.

Honestly, Kane/DB have done so damn much w/ barely nothing. They really gave the tag team division credibility and have been so much fun to watch. I hope they get 15-20 minutes to put a final match on and go separate ways. But I'm totally okay if they stay a tag team. First time since the mid 90s I care about the tag team championships.

Axman 01-01-2013 08:33 PM

I agree with your thoughts on Hell No. ^

Although I doubt it happens, I'd love to see Cena go mental with the boos and turn heel
or
what if Cena was behind the Shield?

ColePens 01-01-2013 10:30 PM

IF Cena was behind the shield and they actually made sense of the writing, it would be quite epic. But I don't see how the writing would make sense.

if they wouldnt have attacked him....that could have made sense

M.C.G. 31 01-01-2013 10:48 PM

maybe if The Shield never attacked Cena and questions were always raised why if they're against injustice, why aren't they going after Cena who Ziggler could claim is the biggest cause for injustices in the WWE, and it would all lead to WrestleMania 29 where The Shield could help John Cena win the WWE Championship and the next night on Raw, it was revealed that they were working together all along. But they attacked him and now it wouldn't make sense.
