If they put Baptiste and Silk at 18 and 19, I think they should put Campagna on the list or near their spots, given that he is still draft eligible.

Sorry, but there are more than 30 NHL draft eligible players that are better than Campagna in the OHL.

I guess its one opinion against anothers. Personally I feel that Campagna is a better prospect on an upward move, and better than half the guys on the list by far.

A sub 6 foot center with 0 physicality and minimal defensive skills does not have much upside as far as NHL centers go.

Why would an NHL team draft a "shootout specialist" when they can sign them after the draft? IF, and that's a big IF, Campagna ever made it to the NHL he'd go a similar route as Jeff Hamilton.

Someone once opened the doors in lobby of the Sudbury arena while Campagna had the puck. The breeze subsequently knocked him off the puck.

Sounds like he is MADE for the big ice in Europe!

That's what they said about Adam Oates. Undrafted in the OHL, undrafted in the NHL.

gotta take these with a grain of salt, after all the nature of it is predicting the future... there's a few things I don't agree with on the list too... but hey, who knows I could be even more off

Yes. Late birthday.

He's born in October which made him ineligible for last year's draft. This is his first year of eligibility.

MC is doing well right now but let's be honest. He has too many difficiencies in his game. He is a defensive liability. He hovers top of the face off circles when opposing team is pressuring down low - always looking for that break out pass. He is limited in knowing what to do without the puck and if you watch the bench after he is pulled off on an offensive zone face off, he sulks and complains to the coaches.

He is, however, a very high talent but really did not change his game until he was made first line center. Attitude has always been an issue and that may be a huge part of why he was not drafted and will PROBABLY not get drafted in June.

I respect your opinion, but must disagree. He plays well on the PK and last year he had 3 Short handed goals in the first 2 weeks of the season. He is always on the opposing centerman or 3rd man on the puck when in the defensive end. He is just not as physical as alot of other players. His plus/minus is very respectful.

His whole career at Sudbury has been with inferior wingers , and up until this year, he was on the 3rd or 4th lines. He had 4-5 fights in his first year of the OHL.

But remember, he is a playmaker. Last time I checked, Gretzky, Lemieux, Oates, Sakic, Yzerman, Naslund, Backsttrom, ......all these guys were all not known for being physical.

AND WHY........ BECAUSE THEY ARE PLAYMAKERS. PLAYMAKERS SET UP GOALS, GOAL SCORERS SCORE GOALS, AND GOONS FIGHT. OCCASIONALLY YOU GET THE COMPLETE PACKAGE THAT WILL HIT, SCORE, FIGHT AND SET UP PLAYS- AKA- LINDROS. BUT THEY ARE VERY RARE.

He didnt get drafted because of issues within the industry that smudge the credibility and ethics of the game- also known as games and politics.

This may be the reason why some 94's that werent drafted, are not on the list.

Tanner Pearson, I beieve had to wait 2 years to be drafted??

Let's see, his skill is no where near the level of any of the guys you mentioned. Small one dimensional centers with his skill set don't play in the NHL.

He didn't get draft because of politics? Give me a break. He didn't get draft because he was a terrible player, with selfish tendencies who pouts constantly on the ice.

I think Bo Horvat will be a very average NHL player. I know what he brings etc, Im just not very high on Bo Horvat being a high impact player in the NHL.

MC doesnt pout, and is the same size as the others mentioned. Kid hasnt complained about his playing time in Sudbury, while others in his age group have been given the world. He never asked for a trade like others.

The kid improves the PP, PK, 14 game point streak, team has points in 9 of last 10 games and most without Leivo and Kantor, and you still wont give a kid credit. Kid has alot of skill set, and is a true playmaking centreman, but I guess you wouldnt know that.

I'll step in here and say that I have been impressed with Campagna's development this year. He looks way more involved in all assets of the play this year, and is attacking the net area with more conviction. Less floating around the offensive zone letting others do his dirty work. He stays has a long way to go to becoming a complete hockey player, but he's certainly trending upwards.

Would I draft him as an NHL team at this point? I don't really think so. But he's definitely improving based on where he was last year.

If I was an NHL team I would pick him up as a free agent, I wouldn't draft him per say.

Come on guys. Is it amateur hour at the HFBOARD site. Any team should be thrilled to sign a playmaking centre as a free agent now, especially since the Salary Cap will go down.

Half the guys on the list this year cant hold the kid's jock strap. Half the guys on the list cant skate.

During last year's draft, there were a lot of bad players taken in the draft that have absolutely done nothing in their 2 years in the OHL.

MC has won gold in the U17, gold in the U18, NHL R& D camp, and we are saying that they kid isnt better than half the guys drafted last year, or half the guys on this list. I know we want all superstars, but thats not reality.

Look at the Leaf's draft picks over the last few years. How many high round stiffs and nobodys. And still today the Leafs cant find a centreman.

All I am saying is that the kid is producing finally, when given the opportunity, and yes he may not be the most physical player out there, but he is a playmaker. Kaberle, Semin, Kessel,... all talented, but no physicality at all, and last time I checked they were making $5 million plus.

We are quick to knock kids but take a step back and actually look at the kids we do accept and support?? Not much difference, generally, to MC.

By the way, I dont have any vested interest in the Wolves or the kids. I support the Wolves team because of past players, but thats it.

if you filter out the OHL players from the CSS Midterm 2013 North American that came out recently, you get this list. I listed 40 because I seen a few that were not 95 born (or late 94), so those would have to be taken out. I don't feel like checking every birth date.

Jeff Corbett, Dman for the Sudbury Wolves and late 94 birthdate, is very underated by most people. I love that he's finally getting the attention he deserves as he has sky rocketed up the rankings to 66th among NA skaters. He ranks among the top-5 draft eligible OHL defencemen which is very impressive (Nurse, Bigras, Zadorov, Corbett, Harpur). Corbett has now become a top pairing Dman for the Wolves with the departure of Corrado and Sefton and he has gained alot more ice time with this. He is a terrific skater and plays solid shut down defence, also has good size 6'2 with good reach can still fill out a bit more and needs to work on his offensive side of the game. Corbett has alot of tools NHL scouts drool over, I predict he will be drafted anywhere from the 2nd to 3rd round in the upcoming NHL draft!
