Team Defence Rankings #2

#1 - NY Rangers - Girardi, McDonagh, Staal, Del Zotto, Stralman, Bickell

Wingsfan2965* 01-01-2013 11:55 PM

LA.....

capitalsrock 01-01-2013 11:57 PM

Boston

Yossarian54 01-02-2013 04:25 AM

Should SJ be Murray or Braun for #6?

nmbr_24 01-02-2013 04:33 AM

I'm not rying to nitpick, but to me "team defence" is a term used to describe the defnce of the entire team including the forwards and "team defenceman" rankings seem to be what you are asking for here.

It's just the way I usually look at it:laugh:

The Newfoundlander 01-02-2013 04:37 AM

I'll say Phoenix

Hopefully a Sharks fan can clue us in on this one.

I guess you're technically correct, but it looks weird if it's "Team defencemen rankings."

Edit: on second thought, I think your way of writing it is better because it is more accurate. I will switch it for the next poll.

I like the Canucks grouping.

SillyRabbit 01-02-2013 06:30 AM

Vancouver has the best top 4 besides NYR IMO.

InjuredChoker 01-02-2013 06:52 AM

LA, Van close behind.

Vankiller Whale 01-02-2013 09:35 AM

Van fan saying LA.

Linden 01-02-2013 09:47 AM

La

Then Boston

Machinehead 01-02-2013 10:09 AM

I love LA's D.

Everyone plays a good 2-way game. Except Scuderi but he's just a monster defensively.

MessierII 01-02-2013 10:22 AM

Still saying Phoenix. Can't believe how underrated they are on here.

rotiman 01-02-2013 10:40 AM

I`ll take the team with the best goals against average in the last 2 years.

Van.

LA or Boston. Vancouver after those two.

Steve Doan 01-02-2013 11:59 AM

If its "team" defense were talking about, and not the team with the best collection of defensemen, its gotta be the blues. They had one of the greatest defensive seasons ever by an entire team.

eklunds source 01-02-2013 02:10 PM

Voted St. Louis. The next 2 should be St. Louis / Los Angeles (pretty close between them)... Vancouver is probably top-5, definitely top-10, but certainly not ahead of those two.

Depends on which sharks fan you ask. Braun and Murray will both get playing time and will battle it out for the spot. I'd go with Murray because he is a very good penalty killer and is one of the only dmen that play physical on our team.

Scottrockztheworld* 01-02-2013 03:23 PM

Van

Look at that top 4:

Hamhuis - Bieksa
Edler - Garrison

Cruel11 01-02-2013 03:51 PM

LA..

PensBandwagonerNo272 01-02-2013 04:08 PM

Boston.

DuckEatinShark 01-02-2013 04:11 PM

Going with LA.

They will be battling for playing time as the #6. I think it should be Murray because he's our only physical defenseman while we have a number of offensive defensemen. However, if Murray is too slow to handle the backend, Braun will be in.

Confound 01-02-2013 04:12 PM

Boston, Vancouver, LA in order.

Braun. Murray blows. Braun-Demers is a great pairing.
