Which Free Agent would you want the kings to get?
 

If the unthinkable happends and palffy doesnt re-sign, who do you want to go out and get? Heres a short list of star player free agents. Which would fit best into the LA lineup.

Not sure if some of these guys have already signed with a team or not...

Glen Murray
Teemu Selanne
Paul Kariya
Petr Nedved
Alexei Kovalev
Eric Lindros
Alexei Zhamnov
Pavol Demitra

Or any others you can think of.

My pick to get a guy to replace palffy would probly be Kovalev, i would just rather see Ziggy re-sign....

Sure I like Kovalev and Zhamnov, but I could really see Kariya signing here. I mean he spent what 10 years just down the 5 from L.A., he probably still has a house around here somewhere, or has grown fond of our climate and weather, and has tried his 1 year experiment in Colorado. I think he'll sign with us or Vancouver, his hometown.

Best possible thing that could happen is we get Lindros. He is the perfect fit a big power foward center now that Allison and Deadmarsh are gone - Has scoring talent. Selanne isnt going to join us nor is Kovalev i'm 99% sure. The only people i see possibilities are:
Kariya (50% sure he will sign with us yet i dont want him but he's good just a jackass). Murray (He should come back yet i dont see him joining us really slight chance) Selanne-Kovalev (I've heard already denied us) Zhamnov-Demitra (We have a chance with both i'll say 30%)

The kings will not sign anyone from that list. The only I can see is Demitra because he is only 29 yrs old. But when the league starts he can be 31-32.

The kings should continue to draft talent and when the time is right, make a trade for a #1 center like a Thornton or Lecavalier. Jason Allison would have lead this young team to the Cup, but he turned out to be a putz. If only he would have kept his big mouth shut. Or they can wait to see what they have in Lehoux or Boyle.

IMO the kings are set with the core of Frolov, Gleason, Garon, Grebs, Brown, Visnovski, Cammy, TK, Avery, Cowan. The kings need to get a little more mean up front. Conroy, Armstrong & Klatt are the perfect vets for this team.

Lindros????????? No way :banghead: He's over 30 already. Has not had a good year since 98-99. Last year was crap. Not the perfect fit. How in the world can you say that?

I'll take none on the list and keep building from our players in Manchester if that's the best to pick from. Selanne would be cool....Kariya not so hot, but it won't happen.

Honestly, there's no better combo of UFAs out there. It'll take some DT wizardry to get Allison & AM back on speaking terms, but DT's a genius. He gets stuff done.

I'm honestly at a loss for words given the last post about concussion HISTORY.

Mind you, I love Deadmarsh, class act all the way and I wish him nothing but good health and hope he makes it back. Allison is a whiney baby and I don't think we ever truly knew "what" was wrong with him aside from needing a serious attitude adjustment for one. Allison can take the same train with RC outta town. Ziggy won't sign but he and Straka looked good together...That was a nice deal :)
