Ryan Getzlaf / Corey Perry at trade deadline.

Hypothetical of course, but if one of the other makes it clear they will not resign in Anaheim. What would there market value be? And how much would they be worth at the trade deadline?

perry for Stastny+pick+prospect?

JetsHomer 01-08-2013 06:22 PM

It would be a roster player: a top 6 forward or top 4 defence, an A prospect and a first

Vankiller Whale 01-08-2013 06:22 PM

Kassian + 1st + Raymond(maybe Booth if forced)

or 3 1sts for Perry

Assuming we could negotiate an extension beforehand.

No team is going to give up that much for an unsigned Perry/Getzlaf.

I agree that's not even logical.

DJN21 01-08-2013 06:25 PM

depends on whether he agreed to a trade and sign id give the kitchen sink for getzlaf as a sabres fan if hes not signed much much less

dannyj10 01-08-2013 06:43 PM

Yep. It seems like this thread has popped up 1000 times and the answer is still the same.

I'm curious to see if a little more could be added in a trade like this if there was a sign and trade scenario. Say someone wants them for 8 years instead of 7, or we chip off a million on the cap hit for the first few seasons. I still don't think we'll see anything crazy, but it might loosen up a prospect that in the past might not have been available.

Martyros 01-08-2013 07:11 PM

I can't imagine having Perry and Brown on the same line

Perry will be THE premier hot commodity around the league, Burke will most likely push for Getzlaf with everything he's got. I'd imagine, with a shortened season, Ducks don't trade either until after the season....where they MIGHT end up with a 1st.

Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free? That will be LA's stance.

If the Ducks would be willing to do that, I'd do Booth(off the bat) + Kassian + 1st + Schroeder/Connauton/Lack.

Top-6 forward + 1st + top prospect + b prospect(or an A goalie one)

We don't have any available centres though, so it's likely a team might be able to beat us with a better quality-for-quantity deal. Maybe Pavelski or Carter could be used as bases. A sign-and-trade would greatly improve his value, moreso than I think we could afford to out bid.

I agree two super star players up for UFA status? I have a doubt both will resign that's why I made this thread. If the season starts next week you know our organization will be talking to them at the same time regarding contract extensions. So yes this is a valid topic to discuss.

Well we have problems luring UFAs to Los Angeles...but these guys are already here!

If we lose Penner and Gagne, and maybe Scuderi, who knows? It will be like the Roxbury guys meet Wayne and Garth, lol.

Chacal667 01-08-2013 07:26 PM

I really hope they stay in annahein, the ducks arent the ducks without them

Chacal667 01-08-2013 07:28 PM

but I could imagine getzlaf with the bruins, a line of Lucci Getzlaf and Horton could be nasty

...yeah pending UFA stars never get the return everyone here thinks they should get.

Ziggy Stardust 01-08-2013 09:15 PM

If I'm the Ducks, I'd ask for Brandon Sutter, Simon Despres, and Beau Bennett for Corey Perry. Pretty much the equivalent of three first round picks. If they are losing Perry, at the very least they should get one forward who can contribute immediately and two A/B+ prospects.

Halpysback* 01-08-2013 10:52 PM

Laich, Forsberg, Galiev, Schultz, 2 1sts, 2 2nds for Getzlaf, Perry and Lydman

Drop the Sopel 01-08-2013 11:05 PM

To Ana- Kesler, Booth, Schroeder
To Van- Getzlaf, Perry

Conditional on the Canucks having a window to re-sign the Anaheim duo.
