Lehtonen or Halak

Lehtonen fairly easily.

Also, who's Hala?

I would say Halak he is proven and has more experience.

Lehtonen if his injury problems are gone.

Halak has yet to be elite without out a defensive collapse team.

He's played on 2 NHL teams and played elite for both of them. He also played extremely well for Slovakia in the Olympics. I don't follow their style to know if they play a defensive system but you can't blame the guy for the teams he plays on.

Halak, surprised Lehtonen is winning this. Lehtonen ain't bad at all in top15 at least but Halak is notch above.

I'm equally surprised to see Lehtonen winning, but I agree with it. It's pretty crowded between the top5 to top12-ish. But I'd have Lehtonen a tad higher than Jaro.

I don't think he's played elite for either. He had outstanding playoffs after a good season with Montreal, but elite-ness in goalies comes with consistency, not with being extremely hot for an extended amount of time. I think he gets "blamed" for anything here, but it's a fair opinion that he's he's done very well in a situation that's perfectly suited to make a goalie comfortable with the Blues, as indicated by Elliott's numbers there, as well. I wouldn't put him in the elite category over that span, either.

They are relatively close, IMO, but I'd pick Kari for now.

Lehtonen is underrated, he was the stars mvp the past two seasons

Lehtonen is 29 years old with 344 NHL games played.

Halak is 27 years old with 204 NHL games played.

Experience isn't really a good reason to choose Halak...

I'd take Halak but it's very close.

Halak is maybe a shade better but Lehtonen is a workhorse which cleary pushes him over the top for me.

Lehtonen easily, anyone voting otherwise didn't pay too much attention to Dallas.

Halak...I'm surprised he's losing and starting to wonder if he's underrated. It's ridiculous that some people think he's good just because of "The System" the guy proved he's a legit top 10 goalie.

Agreed.

I'd want Halak in the playoffs where he can go HAM, but if I want to get there in the first place I'd rather count on Lehtonen's ability to be great game in and out.

Lehtonen, and at this point, it's not that close.
