Forum Game: Who would you rather have?

There's no football here in Germany at the moment and any talk about my favourite team is depressing, so i'm bored and in search for some light-hearted discussion. What place would be better for that than HFboards? :P

Title says it... name two players, and the following poster gets to choose which one they would rather take on their team for the next say 5 years. Ideally with some sort of explanation! Then you post two players to choose from and so on

To start: Who would you rather have on your team for the next 5 years:

Mario Balotelli or Marko Reus?

Brock Anton 01-10-2013 03:04 PM

Reus.

Talent wise I'd rather have Balotelli, I just wouldn't want to deal with the off pitch headaches.

Kyle Walker or Kieran Gibbs?

Wee Baby Seamus 01-10-2013 04:17 PM

Gibbs, but that might just be because Kyle Walker pisses me off.

David Silva or Juan Mata

Basement Cat 01-10-2013 04:28 PM

Juan Mata, younger and has already impressed me more than Silva. Both are incredible though

Kaka or Lampard

Schalkenullvier* 01-10-2013 04:29 PM

Silva, I'll take the more skilled guy thank you very much

Benedikt Höwedes or Neven Subotic?

LaurentHabs 01-10-2013 04:43 PM

Benedikt Howedes. Seems more level headed and mature for his age

Eriksen or Pastore

cgf 01-10-2013 04:45 PM

Pastore

Marchisio or Ramires

Vasilevskiy 01-10-2013 04:45 PM

Marchisio

Götze or Hazard?

Shrimper 01-10-2013 05:29 PM

Hazard. Haven't seen much of Gotze but Hazard is a great team player and has a great ability to track runs and play great balls.

Falcao or Ibrahimovic.

Schalkenullvier* 01-10-2013 05:36 PM

I'd take Falcao. Seems easier to handle, I think he's more valuable now and looking at 5 years from now it won't be close.

Theo walcott or daniel sturridge?

Theo walcott or daniel sturridge?

Walcott, seems to know what to do with the ball when he gets it. Sturridge has no passing sense whatsoever.

Aha sorry, was in the middle of a game of FIFA, mind blanked.

Muller or Kroos

I'd take Muller. I prefer his brand of good movement and clinical finishing, plus he's incredibly versatile and good at so many different things.

Based on the five year thing in the OP, Raheem Sterling or Walcott?

cgf 01-10-2013 07:11 PM

Still Walcott, it'll be at least 2 to 3 before Sterling is at Walcott's level.

Gundogan or Cabaye

Gundogan or Cabaye

Gundogan. I'm a Dortmund fan so I know what all he brings to the table!

Michu or Schürrle?

Pizzi or Isco

Morlesio14* 01-10-2013 08:43 PM

Isco. Loads of potential.

LaurentHabs 01-10-2013 08:54 PM

Torres or Kaka

Oh that is close. I would probably take Kaka overall. Not because he has regressed much more than Torres, but because I think he can perform consistently on a regular bases than him.

El Shaarawy or Neymar?

Neymar and it's not even close. Kid sweats talent.

Hummels or Pique?

ck26 01-11-2013 03:45 AM

Pique

They're pretty even as players, but having Pique around for the next 5 years means having Shakira around for the next five years, and that's not shabby.

Paul Scholes or Javier Zanetti?
