Nice find...I'm sure it'll be confirmed today or tomorrow.

The Nose 01-12-2013 10:22 AM

Yeah nice job! Too bad the opener is away

Run the Jewels 01-12-2013 11:32 AM

St. Louis will be a good opening night matchup. I am looking forward to seeing how we stack up considering how well they did last year.

We're deeper than they are. We've won the seasons series the last two years 8-4. I still see us as a good matchup because we can still match them physical wise as well as overmatch them skill wise.

Imo Blues are THE deepest team, offensively. And they will be very dangerous if Cole is up to the job of not looking like pylon next to Pietrangelo. Otherwise they are stacked.

Perron-Backes-Oshie
D'Agostini-Berglund-Stewart
McDonald-Steen-Tarasenko
Sobotka-Nichol-Reaves/Langenbrunner

That's depth.

Henkka 01-12-2013 03:46 PM

Worst possible schedule. We face all those Pacific timezone teams twice away and only once at home (except Kings).

It won't be easy for us.

Big Poppa Puck 01-12-2013 04:43 PM

And of course I have something to do Saturday night.

Skip it to watch the Wings. Test of a true fan :sarcasm:

irishock 01-12-2013 06:39 PM

Looks like we have 4 Sunday 12:30 games on NBC

JmanWingsFan 01-12-2013 06:43 PM

Back to Back nights in Anaheim... Hope they hire armed guards or something. Who knows what dem crazy Ducks be up to.

Who knows if Getzlaf and Perry will even be there at that point... Be really nice if it was a Corey Perry returns home night.:naughty:

King Kovalchuk 01-12-2013 08:35 PM

At least theres no back to back to back games like the the shortened NBA season had last year.

joe89 01-12-2013 08:39 PM

No insanely long road trips, although seven of eight games on the road for a stretch there mid-late March.

Good one…the Wings are not deeper than the Blues

Perron Backes Oshie
D'agistini Berglund Stewart
Mcdonald Steen Tarasenko
Sobotka Nichol Langenbrunner

Cole Pietrangelo
Jackman Shattenkirk
Polak Russell

Halak
Elliot

The Blues have a nearly point per game player on their 3rd line (McDonald).

Normally I would and have in the past, but I don't know this time.

Hopefully CI is free(or cheap) or it's on National TV so I can DVR and just avoid the score.

Big Poppa Puck 01-13-2013 12:36 AM

Nearly half (21) of the Wings games are either on NBC, VS, or NHLN.

Safe to say unless Game Center or CI are either free or very cheap this year I won't be getting them and will watch the other 27 via stream.

BF3 01-13-2013 09:15 AM

As someone said earlier, this schedule is poopy. Two away games versus 3/4 West coast teams (Sharks, Ducks, Canucks). The problem is that Dallas is in the Pacific division and the Canucks are in the Northwest division, so we get screwed on the west coast trips. At least we play Columbus five times. I can't wait for realignment.

Yeah, that's insanity.

Speaking of, anyone have news about Game Center? Thinking of getting it this year to be able to watch the game the next day (yes, no more 4 am games for me on weekdays)
