*The Stars very much want to sign Jamie Benn but hearing Montreal, LA, Calgary, Detroit and the NY Islanders are all very willing to deal for him.
I would love to have Benn on the Leafs, but what would your team give up for him?

Svensational 01-13-2013 12:44 AM

Eklund's been pretty decent source during lockout especially within the past month or so. Anyways Dallas will sign Benn, he is a stud. From the Flames it would have to be Iggy ++. Doubt Iggy would go to Dallas though.

CM Lundqvist 01-13-2013 12:46 AM

Benn is going nowhere, but I'd give up a ton to get him.

Something around Stepan, 1st rounder and picks/prospects?

You're just saying that because he listed Calgary as one of the destinations.:P

I doubt that Dallas wants another veteran winger to go with Whitney/Jagr/Morrow.

Leafs For Life* 01-13-2013 12:51 AM

I'd offer Kessel+Grabo for Benn+a vet RW.

boredmale 01-13-2013 12:52 AM

On the plus side if they trade Benn, MacKinnon or Jones most likely will be part of the package(indirectly). lol

sully1410 01-13-2013 12:53 AM

I'd deal E. Kane+, without breaking a sweat.

Machinehead 01-13-2013 12:56 AM

I'd open the cupboard for Benn.

Not Lundqvist, not McDonagh, and not Gaborik.

Everything else is on the table.

Qward 01-13-2013 12:58 AM

Jamie Benn is shy, he doesn't want to play in Canada.

billybudd 01-13-2013 01:01 AM

James Neal and Simon Despres.

KingCanadain1976 01-13-2013 01:03 AM

Id love the kings to get him. I dont think a offer of Lotki slava king gagne and 14 lst would do it? or would it

MichiganWolverines 01-13-2013 01:07 AM

I would offer Brandon Sutter, Derrick Pouliot, Teddy Blueger and two future 1st round draft picks for Jamie Benn.

Benn - Crosby - Dupuis

Kunitz- Malkin - Neal

ricky0034 01-13-2013 01:11 AM

i'd offer up a pretty huge package if it meant getting Benn

something like Filppula+Miller+Jarnkrok+Tatar+1st

and i'm crazy high on Jarnkrok

you wouldn't trade Gaborik for Benn if that was what it took?

piqued 01-13-2013 01:13 AM

Of course nowhere there or anywhere did it say anything about the Stars trading him.

Leafs For Life* 01-13-2013 01:14 AM

Imo, Dallas would still be looking to be competitive with their want to sign them, so quality upgrade in one and downgrade another spot would work imo.

Still if there is interest and they get enough, then they'd deal him.

Corey Perry* 01-13-2013 01:15 AM

Benn+Goligoski for Neal+Niskanen

Huh? :p

Ogi1Kenobi 01-13-2013 01:17 AM

Teams are interested, but Dallas isn't selling. The owner and management are desperate to keep in Dallas. Damn GMJN and his bridge contract.

Haha. Come on, what do you think? They have the right to ask for the world. Kopitar or Doughty would have to go the other way.

CraniumCram 01-13-2013 01:20 AM

I'd do like

Ennis/Hodgson
+
Sekera

Is this a joke?

Jaded-Fan 01-13-2013 01:21 AM

The entire league would be in line to trade for the guy.

But that said I think Dallas gets this done.

Nothing against Iggy, but:

*His age doesn't bode well for a franchise trying to get younger and building for the future. Whitney and Jagr are temporary pieces.

*We have really no need for wingers since we have Chiasson, Reilly Smith, Ritchie, etc. developing quite well.

*We cannot afford to deal him since he plays top-line center and we really have no potential top-line centers in our system. Faksa is probably a 2a center as of now.

One of two Top-6, potential #1C's

A top-4 Shutdown, 2 way defensemen. One of the stars biggest needs also.

Where do you find the humor in this?
