Wow, I'd never really noticed, but Dan Ellis looks a lot like Justin Peters. They could be twins.

He should paint Justin Peters on his goalie mask. Now that would blow my mind.

Is it just me, or does that Panther look very sad around the eyes?

I like that we begin the season by watching another team raise the division banner.

Gosh I missed these

We lose after Semin is called for diving. He joins Jeff Skinner, Jordan Staal and Kevin Westgarth in the penalty box.

The Panthers fail to convert on their 4 minute 5 on 3, and Semin scores his first goal as a 'Cane on a breakaway out of the penalty box to make it a 5-2 loss in the dying seconds of the 3rd period.

So Semin will be taking Ruutu's spot in scoring useless 3rd period goals? Sounds like he will fit right in.

i like the forward lines if those are the people we have to work with. but wouldn't it be better on defense to put faulk with harrison, and gleason with corvo and mcbain with pitkanen?

'Canes down 7-1 midway through third. Police storm the ice and arrest Joe Corvo on a warrant for public indecency due to complaints about his haircut. 'Canes immediately score six unanswered goals to tie the game, then Eric wins the game in a shootout. Joe Corvo's contract is terminated.

I just remembered we signed Corvo. Again.
