Vancouver - St. Louis

Vancouver: Andy McDonald

St.Louis: Dale Weise + 3rd/4th Round Pick

Vancouver acquires Andy McDonald temporarilly fill their 2nd line center role (McDonald is in the last year of his deal, so this trade would probably happen at the deadline).

St. Louis gets more grit in the bottom 6.

Zippy316 01-20-2013 09:35 AM

Is this serious?

Pi 01-20-2013 09:36 AM

Why would St. Louis trade any one of their roster right now? Especially for such a terrible return.

Falco Lombardi 01-20-2013 09:37 AM

Vancouver will get nothing from us I would imagine.

Mac doesn't play center and the Blues have 15 NHL forwards. Not to mention the offer is a complete insult

CarvinSigX 01-20-2013 09:45 AM

McDonald is the Blues best offensive threat...No chance he gets moved.

Vankiller Whale 01-20-2013 10:07 AM

Weise is the Gretzky of the Netherlands. St. Louis adds Pietrangelo and Tarasenko to make it fair.

ManyIdeas 01-20-2013 10:08 AM

Our bottom 6 doesn't have enough grit already? And amac doesnt play center.

Trade you pietrangelo for that package though

Canucks fans are clearly getting desperate / crazy after a bad game.

SirPaste 01-20-2013 10:49 AM

Wow, really?

Juusho 01-20-2013 10:54 AM

Uh.. Wat? No way he gets moved for that.

GoofSlashFoig 01-20-2013 11:50 AM

Who is Dale Weise and why would we want him?

BannedFromCDC 01-20-2013 11:57 AM

Would you do

Ryan Kesler

for

Ryan Reaves
3rd/4th round pick

Exactly.

Exactly.

Mcdonald is a good offensive player. But that comparison to kesler is not close in terms of everything he brings to the game, specially considering the age difference

mstad101 01-20-2013 12:02 PM

Edler signs contract extension and Blues sign Redden. I see no deal between these two teams.
Blues are a contender again and should be looked as potential opponent in the playoffs, I doubt we make a deal with each other.

Right now the Blues filled their hole, and we need to get healthy. That'll be the roster movement in Vancouver.

PocketNines 01-20-2013 12:15 PM

Dum.

He is a guy who asks Thornton to go before the puck drops and then refuses to go when thornton gets his gloves off, the ref was right there and gave Weise a penalty for being a coward St Lous is getting no grit.

Educate yourself. That's not what happened.

Well right now Kesler brings nothing so getting uptight about semantics isn't going to get you far.

Then what did happen how did you see it? The ref was a foot away and heard Weise challange Thornton so unless you were the center on the Canucks you could not have heard better than the ref how about you don't call me uneducated without backing up your claim.

Weise is a coward no two ways about it.

Halpysback 01-20-2013 12:50 PM

what about Kesler for Reaves (+ maybe)

Weise and McQuaid were jawing at each other about dropping them after the faceoff and Thornton tried to jump in uninvited. Thornton admits as much in his post game interview. Give it a listen if you don't believe me.

Also, OP is terrible.

EDIT: My mistake, it wasn't Thornton who admitted it, it was Marchand. Here's the quote:

Quote:

I’m going to clear it up for everyone who’s listening,” Marchand said. “It was actually a really sneaky play by Thorty. Weise was trying to fight McQuaid, who was standing behind Thornton on the point. McQuaid was going to fight him. So, Weise was yelling and saying, ‘Yeah, let’s go, let’s go.’

“Thorty just figured that at that point he’d drop his gloves and surprise Weise. And the ref just kind of heard Weise yelling ‘Let’s go’ and thought he was talking to Thorty and conning him into a penalty. Thorty kind of surprised him when Thorty dropped his gloves. Weise had no idea Thorty was going to do that.”

Added Marchand: “Him and Quaider know each other a bit from the minors and I think junior as well. They might have went at [it] there.”

Bluesnatic27 01-20-2013 01:12 PM

This, is by far, the worst proposal I have seen involving any Blues player.

Let's do it!

He was not comparing Mcdonald and Kesler. He was actaully comparing the value of the two trades. Just trying to help you out, you're going need it around here.
